Bobby's P.O.V.
Then I woke up and almost burst into tears. That was the most vivid dream I have ever had it seems like it went on since 2014.
Imagine if June 10th didn't happen, maybe I would have the guts to fix things well enough for us to get married, have a daughter, and have a happy little family. Christina was the best woman I could ever ask for. She was the wish on my birthday and number one on my Christmas list. I have been in love with her for what seems like ever and now it's too late. She's gone.
I got myself out of bed and made it to the bathroom to look at myself. I looked like a mess. My brown hair is a mess, I have bags under my eyes, and you can tell I had been crying in the past five minutes. I lost focus when my phone started ringing.
"Hello?"
"Bobby? Hey, it's Lauren.." A familiar voice spoke softly on the other end of the phone.
"Hey Lauren, what's up? How are you?"
"I'm pretty good, I just finished doing some laundry when I found your sister's old shirt and I thought about you. How are you?"
"I've been better. I just had this vivid dream and it seemed so real and-"
"Was it about Christina? I have those too sometimes," Her voice sounded sad. "Want to tell me about it?"
"It might take a while, it was super long."
"I love story time, go ahead."
And with that I told her every little detail about my dream. I told her how a lot of it was from Christina's point of view which was strange, but there probably was a psychological reason behind it. Lauren listened carefully and laughed along with me for what seemed like hours. After explaining my wild dream she had told me that she could see all of that, well all the good parts and maybe some bad parts happening. Then she had asked if I would like to go with her to the super market to hangout and get out of the house for a bit so I decided to say yes.
A half hour later I was in the passanger seat listening to music in Lauren's car as we made our way to the market. When we finally made it I helped Lauren look for certain things on her grocery list she had made in the car just before we left my place.
"I think we just need flour, salt, and apples left." Lauren noted, checking off eggs of the list as I put some in the cart.
We got flour and salt, so the only thing we needed now was apples. As we made out way over to the fruit section I noticed a little girl carrying a box of apples two times her size, I couldn't even see her face. We walked in her direction so I decided to lift the box to help her out.
"Do you need help?" I looked down and I was completely shocked. This little girl looked exactly liked baby Piper from my dream. Hair, eyes, smile, you name it.
"Hey Bobby, I just thought about your dream." Lauren said from behind me.
"Uh huh?" I replied not breaking eye contact with the little girl. She was smiling brightly when a gorgeous woman thanked me for helping her daughter and walked away with her cart. It seemed really weird, but I felt the urge to get her number. So I took a look around to find her again, just a few feet away. I walked away to ask but I don't think Lauren noticed because behind me I heard,
"It's funny that in the dream Christina had a lot of boy troubles."
