Boy Troubles: King of Thieves

Chapter 8

"Christina." Bobby walked over, reaching for his phone.

"Is this serious, Bobby?"

"It's not what it-"

"Looks like?" I finished for him. "You cheated on me?" I grabbed my shirt and slipped it over my head. "With Bria?"

"Christina, it's not like that!" He reached for his phone again.

"I can't believe this!" I angrily put my pants back on. Looking at Bobby with his jaw open as if it's no big deal made my blood boil. "And I find out right after we have sex. Great. Real great." I threw his phone at him.

"It was just a kiss! That's it. Please, listen."

"Not tonight." I shoved a pillow into his chest, then a blanket at his face. "Please, leave me alone."

I laid on the bed with a pillow to my face as I started cry. I couldn't get the image out of my head of Bobby kissing Bria. Bria. One of my best friends. I sat in the room crying for an hour or two when I heard a knock at the door.

"Goob-"

"Don't Gooby me. You cheated on Gooby with her Hermit."

"Gooby cheated on me with her BudBud!" Bobby shouted angirly. I jumped off the bed and swung open the door.

"That was almost fifteen years ago and he kissed me. And you know that!"

"I kissed Bria almost fifteen years ago because you gave me permission!"

"You told me you didn't kiss anyone!"

"Correction, I'm pretty sure I said I didn't kiss Cass." He ran his hand over his face. "But think about who I have been kissing for these past years and more to come. You."

"You found a loophole. Instead of not telling me about Bria, you told me how you didn't do anything with Cass?! That's not fair! I literally told you the morning after it happened. "

"I didn't want you to be upset! You were in my arms, you had just left tour, you were apologizing over and over again, and I didn't want to see you more hurt than you seemed." He looked to be on the urge of breaking down. "It was a stupid mistake." His voice cracked.

"Bobby,"

"No Christina, you're right. I shouldn't have done it. I should have told you. I'm sorry." It ripped my heart to see him crying just inches away. "It meant nothing. Please, please, forgive me."

"Just - don't cry. Please," I hugged him tight. "I'm sorry."

"I love you." We spoke at the same time.

"So, you forgive me?"

"Yes."

"I'm home!" I heard Piper scream from downstairs shutting the door behind her.

*Piper's point of view*

I've actually been home for about twenty minutes. I walked in as soon as Dad was going upstairs. Just seconds later Dad was screaming 'Gooby cheated on me with her BudBud!' But isn't BudBud, Adam Levine? I just listened until they finally made up so I mentioned my arrival while shutting the door behind me. My parents came down; my heart dropped to see both of their faces stained from tears.

"Um, how was the dance?" Dad asked cheerfully.

"Great." I smiled thinking about it.

"Still a virgin?"

"Dad!" I groaned. "Goodnight." I went to go upstairs.

"I was kidding, tell me about it."

"We danced, they played a few of Mom's songs, some slow songs.."

"You and Billy slow danced," Mom interrupted. "He kissed you, you kissed him."

"Oooooo." Dad teased and my cheeks turned red. "She definitely got some smooches; here have some more." He kissed my cheek,  as did my mom before we shared our goodnights. I changed into a pair of sweat pants and a tank top. I removed all my make up, then snuggled in my blankets and my bear I've had forever. I checked my phone one last time: 1 Message! Billy. I swiped on the icon to open it.

Hey! I had a great time tonight! Thanks for being my date:) Goodnight beautiful.

I smiled before replying. All night we texted each other back and forth nonstop and I blushed 99.9% of the time. Tonight was the best night ever.
