"Sweetie, time to get up for school." I said as I poked my head through Piper's door.

"Uuuuuugggghhh." She's six and she already hates first grade.

"C'mon, if I had to go to school, so do you." She mumbled things into her pillows and stuff animals.  I jumped on the end of her bed. "Get up, get up, get up!"

"Mom," She whined. "Okay! I'm up; I'm up." I hopped off the bed and grabbed her lunch; I was bored so I decided to write a little note like my mother used to.

Piper, Pipety Pipe Pipes,

Enjoy this sandwich,

Love the pudding,

When you get home we can watch a movie.

Did that rhyme? It did in my mind..

Have a good day!

With Love,

Mom

I chuckled as I put it in her little kitten lunch box with a matching thermos. Thermos is such a funny word. Thermos. Seconds later, she came running through the kitchen, snatched the lunch box,  and beat me to the car. She buckles herself in her little car seat and I put her backpack in the back next to her. I drove off to the school and walked her to her line by the doors.

"Bye, Mommy." She squeezed me as hard as her tiny body could.

"Goodbye!" I left and headed to the studio which was not too far; minutes later I was in the parking lot. I parked the car, went inside,  and walked in the booth. I placed my headphones on and started my vocal warm-ups.

Do Re Me Fa Sol-

"Good morning, my little pixie," Adam said through the microphone. "what should we start with today?"

"I'm not sure, few covers and maybe try to find a beat to a song I'm writing."

"Sure thing, let's get started."

Hours passed and I had successfully finished six covers and half of the melody to my new song. It was time to get Piper from school and head home. I drove to the school, waited fifteen minutes, then she came and hopped in the back seat.

"Hiya Mom!" She greeted as she buckled her seat belt.

"How was school?" I asked as I drove off. She explained her art class where they drew the color-wheel, music class where, of course, she had a blast in, how she loved my note, and she the only thing she has to do for homework is spelling words. I pulled in the driveway and as I unbuckled myself, I see Bobby at the front door with his arms wide for Piper to jump in them; which she did. Seeing them play was like the father-daughter experience you see in the movies.

By eight o'clock Piper was sleepy and ready for bed; she just took a bath and was in her pj's.

"I love you, Pipes." Bobby and I whispered as we tucked her in for the night; followed by a kiss on the forehead.

"Good-" She started yawning. "night."

"Goodnight, sweetheart." I gave her, her stuffed bear and shut the door behind me.

"How lucky are we to have a little girl like her?" I asked Bobby, smiling.

"As lucky as I am to have a girl like you." He smirked, then smiled; showing his amazing teeth and dimples. He's too sweet, we've been together for years, and he still makes me have butterflies; that's what I loved about him most; he makes me feel so much better.

"I love you, you know that?"

"Well, I'd hope so."  He interlocked his fingers with mine and we walked downstairs to sit on the couch and watch some movies. I would look up at him every now and then; looking how into the movie he was; then he caught me. "What?" He started smiling.

"How do you even, like ugh, you're too perfect."

"You're such a dork." He leaned over and kissed my forehead. I squinted up at him. "What?" He took a few moments. "Oh, haha, whoops." kissed me on my lips and I made it quite a passionate one at that. Before I knew it, I was out cold in the arms of Mr. Bobbace; and I wouldn't have asked for it to be any other way.
