Boy Troubles: King of Thieves

Chapter 13

My head was pounding. The only memory from last night was the only one I wished I had forgotten. I had just gotten in the shower. I scrubbed harder than usual, trying to scrub off the memories. Obviously didn't work. I feel so dirty. I still scrubbed when the water turned ice cold.

"Piper! You've been in there for two hours! I'm going to make you pay the water bill!" Lucy shouted behind her bathroom door.

"Sorry," I said on the edge of breaking down again. "I'll be out in a second." I rinsed the soap off and shut off the water. I wrapped myself in a towel and walked out. I carried the clothes I had and threw them in Lucy's trashcan. "Can I borrow some clothes today?"

"Those were cute! Why did you throw them away?!"

"Trust me. They don't need to be worn by anyone anymore."

She walked to her dresser and tossed me some clothes. I hurried to put them on ,then I joined Lucy on her bed. I rested my head on her shoulder and we watched Hannah sleep on the floor. I guess wasted and drugged I still beat Hannah to sleeping on the couch. I checked my phone and I had 20 new messages; ten from Mommy, five from Papa Bear, and five from Billy.

Mommy: It's past midnight are yu staying @ Lucy's?

Hey I just wanted to make sure yur safe.

Call me later?

Sweetie?

Don't do drugs.

I love you, please be okay

You usually check in!? What's happening?

Are you okay?

PIPEEERRR.

Please call me when you get these! I need to know you're okay! I can't lose you too.

Papa Bear: Hey baby girl, your mom and I are worried sick!

You better be at that party and not with that one boy:P

Your mother won't go to bed._. Let her know you're safe!

Piper Victoria Plizak get home as soon as you can!

I didn't even bother to read Billy's messages.

"Are you okay?" Lucy asked staring at my phone. "You're not even texting Billy. You always text him."

"I'm probably never going to text him ever again."

"You guys were pretty good last night." She winked and nudged my shoulder.

"I promise you, last night was the worst night of my life." I tried holding back my tears.

"But-" She realized that I was going to cry. "Oh my God...did he-" I simply nodded because I knew what she was going to say.

"I'm going to call my mom and tell her I'm on my way...I think she's the one person I can explain everything to. Please, don't tell anyone."

"It's not my business to tell."

"Thank you. I'll see you later." I got up and hugged her goodbye. I walked out as I dialed Mom's number.

"PIPER, YOU HAD ME WORRIED SICK!" She yelled when she answered her phone.

"I'm sorry." I let out, finally getting out the tears I've been holding.

"Wha- Where are you?"

"I'm walking to the house from Lucy's." She hung up on me and seconds later I saw her running down the street.  I didn't know to be scared or thankful. She wrapped her arms around my neck and hugged me tight.
