Honey.

‘Bye Honey, remember, any time sooner rather than later’ she smiled giving me a wink before closing the door behind us.

‘Sorry about this, it’s really alright; I can just catch a bus to school. It won’t take too long’ I started, attempting to walk in the direction on the bus stop. However he had other ideas pulling me back to him.

‘no I was forced out of bed to drop you at school, and If I don’t drop you too school there would have been reason for me to have been forced out of bed, therefore  I'm sure I will commit homicide so just get in the car, remember shoes off’ he muttered walking towards his car without a backwards glance.

‘Alright don’t kill me’ I laughed following his lead. I took off my shoes and stepped into the car. ‘So how’s life?’

‘I don’t want to talk at the moment’ he grumbled starting the engine.

‘Look if it is really bothering you I could leave you too have a nap in the car and I will go to school’

‘Don’t be silly’ he stated as he took off from his parking spot.

The car ride was silent but not at all awkward. I moved forward to switch on the radio when I was stopped by Lamar’s hand.

‘What are you playing at?’

‘I need some sort of entertainment’

‘Can’t you read some school book or something?’

‘Yeah because I really want to read my Maths exercise book’

‘Good, then get it out’

‘That was sarcasm’

‘I didn’t get it’

‘Well now you do’

‘I’m not arguing with you’

‘Too late’

‘You’re being immature’

‘It’s in my nature to be’ I smiled

‘Get out my car’

‘What, no! It was banter? Don’t be such a killjoy’ I moaned

‘I thought you wanted to go to school, and we are at your school so get out, now!’ he didn’t shouted but the way he uttered it so casually was quite menacing itself. I quickly put on my shoes and slung my bag over my shoulder opening the car door. He stopped me with a hand to my shoulder and held out a £20 note.

‘Oh, no thanks I have enough left over from yesterday’ I smiled trying to leave again. This time he left me and I sighed gratefully, I felt very uncomfortable taking money from Lamar. I stood outside the car and waved at him while he drove off. Turning around was a big shock as I slapped hard right into a stone like figure. I looked up rubbing the sore spot where I had hit my forehead, and surprise surprise, there was Kyle stood right before me. ‘Hey, that bump really hurt’ I groaned playfully attempting to hug him and receiving nothing in return. ‘What’s wrong?’

‘Was that Lamar?’

‘Yeah, why?’

‘Is that where you were yesterday?’

‘Yep, what’s the matter?’

‘You could have told me I was worried, all you told me that it was for a while, and knowing that idiot he could have been keeping you hostage’ he muttered something else which I’m sure I didn’t want to hear
