After the news that Black Marshall and I would die, I decided to send a letter to her and have her take over the contracts once again so I can start my training to control my new powers. The angel said that if I wanted to control the powers best then we should round up the other shadow riders and take their power. When I had asked him why he simply said that to fully control the powers I need to have them all first. For now, i can control some of the power but as I consume them it will get harder until I get all of them and the angel helps me again. So I'm planning on getting the other six in one area, get it all over with even though it would be risky. 

All of the devil's riders have one thing in common, as soon as someone spots a contract we can pass it along to another rider. So to get the last six in one place I had to have a big enough contract. Trouble is, there isn't really a contract like that right now. But I can make one, I'm going to ride into a town and use them as bait.

When I got there I talked to the town leader who didn't want to work with me, no surprise because I couldn't actually guarantee their safety. So I called in the contract myself, souls were souls in the devil's eyes. Within the next day the riders should show up, and I would take them by surprise since they hadn't heard about the other rider. 

While waiting for them to show up I started to plan everything in my head. It's not going to be an easy fight at all, fighting one of them I had some issues, let alone six of them. Then there is the issue if my partner shows up. I don't think she would fight against me, but I don't want this battle to be the one where we die. I had finally gotten a letter back from her when I had told her about my plan and to keep the contracts up. She wrote back and seemed like everything would work. And I finally learned her name, Sarah. 

When I heard horses over the hills I started getting ready for the fight. Sarah had already shown up to help prepare for the kills. I filled her in on everything and she seemed hopeful. The only thing I hadn't told her is the angel saying we would die. 

I stood at the edge of town, waiting for the shadow riders. The people of the town were indoors hidden. It was time to get this started. I drew both of my guns and told my partner to take cover and help shoot them once they were closer. They rode up to me and asked what I was doing just standing around, joking that I could have started without them. 

"Then let's get this over with," I said as I shot one of them off their horses and ducked behind a barrel within running distance.

Sarah had shot one, meant we had two out of the six dead. I quickly started to move between covers, while I was covered I did the ritual, the riders saw me consume the other two and quickly started opening fire.

The firefight seemed to drag on forever, we had moved all around the town and some of the citizens had become collateral. The new power was starting to feel unstable again, I knew I needed to end this quick before I lost control. Then there was screaming, I hadn't kept an eye on where Sarah had gone when I looked towards the center of town I seen what happened. She hadn't watched her back and two of them got the drop on her, they took her and quickly left. She is going to be taken to the devil, and killed for my actions.
