Sometimes I think in a past life I did something terrible like maybe I had murdered someone or had been an evil dictator or just a general shitty human being because I did not deserve to have Tia freaking Summers in the same ship that I wanted to buy my homecoming dress.

I growled and Evie put her hand on my shoulder "she might not even notice us, let's just keep shopping" I snuck a peek at Tia who was admiring her reflection in a mirror while also inspecting a yellow floral dress "true she's found her reflection so she it's plausible she won't even notice us at all" Evie just laughed because Tia was as mean as she was vain.

"So how Jem?" I asked Evie who was looking at a collection of pink dresses . "He's great I mean he's everything I thought a mate would be but we don't have to talk about mates if you don't want to..."
"Don't be silly Evie I want to know!" I cried picking up a yellow dress but I put it back again quickly. Soon Evie was gushing all about Jem and I couldn't help but notice the flush of pink on her cheeks. "I mean but I wish he'd come to homecoming but I understand why he wouldn't..." she looked down and started looking at some more clothes. "Oh Evie there are so many events! There's the Halloween rager the teen wolves throw, the  ball near Christmas, the New Years party so many opportunities and memories you will be able to share together and this is just one thing out of a million" I assured her and I could see she had a slight smile "thanks Abby, I needed that"

Reverting back to attention she looked at me again "usual tradition?" I nodded at her, our usual tradition was that we didn't show each other the dresses we bought till the night of when we get ready because in Evie's words "mystery can keep anything alive and exciting" I guess she must have read it somewhere and it had stuck.

"Alright then and go..."

The next afternoon I had my dress hung up in my wardrobe in its garment bag, the shoes placed underneath all ready to go for next week. It was going to be a lazy Sunday and I felt like going to the park or something, maybe I would have a run. Changing out of my sweats I pulled on a yellow sundress and a pair of shoes and headed out. My parents were out today but Ric was in his room playing his PlayStation and Mal was sketching - he was quite talented as I had a framed portrait of me he drew in my room.

"I'm going out" I called out into the house and got nothing in return, I guess they were two absorbed in their hobbies. I walked outside the cool autumn breeze whipping at my hair, for a moment I felt peace.

I made the two kilometre walk to the park, a beautiful lush estate which was filled with flowers and trees to the most beautiful caliber. I quickly found a spot and shifted feeling my bones mould to the shape of a wolf. I suddenly felt freedom a beautiful, unexplainable freedom. I darted in and out of the trees, I rolled around in the grass like a domesticated dog.

Snap

I heard a twig snap behind me and noticed a person running through the trees but they hadn't seen me yet. I followed the figures movement and I realised it was Harry, a very sweaty Harry. I was so close to him now and then he moved and he saw me and he gasped. I quickly darted away and I hoped he would ignore me but inside I heard his footsteps running could closer. He was following me?

Escalating my speed I quickly shifted and jumped into the nearby Alyssa Pond. Emerging for air and a few beats later I saw Harry on the edge of the lake staring at me a confused look on his face. "A-Abby?" He stepped closer to the edge of the lake and I met him t the edge "umm... I got hot after running so I..." I gestured to my wet clothes which now clung to my skin.

"Help me out?" I stuck out my hand and Harry naively took it and in a spilt second I had dragged him into the lake. He quickly reemerged out the water a surprised look on his face which had a hint of a smile. His white cotton shirt clung to his muscles and I couldn't help but stare. " don't star Abby" he winked and he grabbed me by the waist and dunked me underwater.

"Harry stop it!" I splashed him and we continued that playfully until he grabbed my hands to prevent me from doing anything he suddenly pulled me impossibly close and I felt our breaths go in sync. I saw him lean down but he stopped and I wanted to close the gap oh I desperately wanted to.

"I can't" he pulled away and I sighed but said nothing it was still magical anyway. "I don't believe in magic" oh shit had I said that out loud ? "I don't believe in magic, fairytales or the occult I believe in what I see and know and what I know is that..." he cut himself off and quickly swam to the shore.

"Goodbye Abby, I'll see you at school" I waved at him awkwardly and I couldn't help but scream. This is not what I signed up for!

Soo... the romance is blooming and Harry doesn't believe in anything fanatical which proves to be an issue.
