A few moments later there was a tap at the door. I pulled myself up from the floor and opened the door. The moment he saw my tear stained face he took me in his arms and held me, gently stroking my hair to calm me down. He was clearly going to think I was an unstable individual, which really wasn’t the case, I just didn’t like not being able to control what was going to happen.

After a few minutes he took my hand and sat me down on the bed.

“Look” he said as he gently wiped the tears from my face before taking hold of my hands “We will deal with this together, the two of us. In the morning call Sharon and explain, I will talk to Jack and email Simon. We will be honest, that way nothing can creep up on us” he paused “literally.” he said with a smile “So stop getting stressed and upset about it. In the morning we will go off, make the calls and that will be that. Ok?” he asked, so sure of himself and the resolution to the situation.

“Yeah” I said in a grumpy tone, exhausted from the emotional rollercoaster of the last half an hour.

“Good” he said before pulling me into his arms.

“Thank you” I muttered into his shoulder as I relaxed in his arms.

“No problem babe” he said as he traced patterns absent mindedly up and down my back. “Well I’d better get back, early start and all” he said as he loosened his grip.

“Stay?” I asked without even thinking.

“Only if you’re sure?” he asked, mindful of the previous night.

“I wouldn’t ask if I wasn’t sure” I said as I leaned forward and kissed him “but first I need to sort this out” I said pulling away and signalling towards my tear stained face.

“Not going to lie, you’ve looked better” he said with a cheeky grin. I slapped him playfully before heading into the bathroom.

I slipped my pyjamas on, removed the little make-up I still had on and cleaned my teeth. I was running a brush through my hair when Harry casually strolled into the bathroom in just is boxers and placed his arms around my waist, resting his head on my shoulder before he kissed me on the cheek. I glanced at the image in the mirror, it would be a moment I’d cherish; so innocent, touching and romantic, yet to fresh and new.

“Thank you” I said as I turned to face him, wrapping my arms around him in the process, and meeting his sleepy gaze. He smiled before whispering, “My pleasure”.

“Now come on, sleep” I said before pecking him on the nose, grabbing his hand and leading him to bed.

We snuggled down under the duvet before he took me in his arms and I drifted off into a peaceful sleep.
