Laylas Pov

I woke up to the annoying beeping of my alarm clock again. I rolled out of bed on the first time which is very unusual for me. I headed to the shower, thinking about this weekend. If you had told me last Monday that I was  going to be engaged, moved into a new house, and I actually liked the boy in only a week I would’ve thought that you were insane. I might’ve even told you that you needed to go to the doctor to get that checked out, but now here I am. I got out of the shower. I change into my outfit leaving the towel to let my hair dry more. Once I had put my clothes into the hamper I went back and brushed threw my hair, fixing my part. I let my hair air dry letting my natural waves set in.

I finished my makeup before I went downstairs to get myself some breakfast. I got myself a bowl and filled it with some rice krispies and milk. I ate them all and checked the clock seeing that I needed to be at school in 20 minutes. I froze, I didn’t have a ride. I usually rode with Justin but there was no way that they would have time to pick me up, and I didn’t ask Andi for a ride. What was I gonna do?

As I was running ideas through my head of ways I could get to school and not be late, I heard quiet footsteps coming down the stairs. I look over at the stairway and see a sleepy looking Calum coming down the stairs. He notices me in a panic when he walks into the kitchen.

“Do you need a ride?” He smirks. I smile, nodding.

            “Yes please”

“Go finish getting ready. I throw on some clothes then I’ll take you.” He chuckled walking up the stairs towards his room. I stood there for a minute thanking god that Calum had awoken. When I finished I ran up the stairs, and found my book bag on the chair. I slung it over my shoulder. I grabbed my phone from my nightstand and saw that I had gotten a text from Andrea.

        From: Andi Baby (:

Do you need a ride to school today?

I laughed; of course I would see this after I had already accepted one from Calum.

        To: Andi Baby (:

Nope. Calum is gonna bring me.

I put my phone in my back pocket, and slipped on my sandals. I grabbed my purse, shut off the light, and shut my door. Calum walked out of his room at the same time.

“You ready?” I think for a minute going through my whole checklist before I realized that I had forgotten to pack my football bag.

“Hold on one minute.” I rushed back into my room and headed to my closet grabbing the duffle bag from the floor. I ran to my dresser throwing in a pair of running shorts and a tee shirt that matched. I grabbed socks that also matched and made sure my cleats and shin guards were in the bag. I rushed to the bathroom grabbing a hair tie and a headband. I threw my deodorant into the bag, zipping it up before grabbing all my bags and heading back out the door. Calum was standing in his same spot, grinning.

“Now you ready?” I went through my checklist once more before nodding. He grabbed my football bag from off my shoulder, leading me down the stairs and out to the garage to his car. I threw my stuff into the back seat jumping into the passenger side. Calum got in and started the car backing it out of the driveway and towards my school.

“So are you still up for our little match after practice?” He smirked devilishly at me.

“Of course I am.” I grinned back.
