I thought that I would be able to savour the day, cuddling up with Damon the next morning, but he left with Stefan for some kind of a vampire emergency I guessed.

Luckily I don't have to worry about stuff like that as long as I'm human, I thought. Then I realised what had just went through my mind. Wow, I hadn't even thought about turning before.

I dressed and went to Anna's room where I found her in front the mirror putting makeup on. "Did you sleep well? And did you get over the shock from yesterday?" I smiled, but only got a glare back.

"Well I slept well, but I still don't believe any of these weird things you and he's telling me." She frowned.

I just laughed at her. "Believe it or not, but don't forget to enjoy it!"

She looked quizzically at me.

"We both loved to watch 'the Vampire Diaries' on TV; don't think too much about how the hell this could be happening." I eventually after a few eye rolls got her to smile. "Come on, let's go down and get some breakfast."
I hooked her arm in mine and dragged her along on a grand tour of the Salvatore Boarding House.

"Wow, it's just like the scenes on TV." She was amazed especially as we got into the parlour. She looked around at the high ceiling with the dark beams, the dark panelled walls and the huge fireplace.

I smiled when she posed and wanted me to take her picture in front of the fireplace. As long as we were alone, she acted like a kid in a candy store. I was just glad she wasn't grumpy anymore, but I was getting hungry. "Come on, it really is breakfast time." I lead the way to the kitchen and she tagged along, looking around in awe.

When we got in through the kitchen door, Elena sat by the table and greeted us. "Good morning! Did you sleep well?"

"Yes... eventually..." I smirked, thinking of me and Damon in bed, but realised I shouldn't do that to her. "What about you?"

"I actually slept well, in Stefan's arms," she revealed which made me jump with joy, hurry up to her and give her a big hug. She laughed and hugged me back.

I suddenly looked at Anna who stood and watched us with big eyes. "We better get some food in you, before you faint again." I opened the cupboards and picked out a couple of bowls, cereal and milk, then I motioned her to come to the table and sit down. She looked a bit weird at me; like she thought I shouldn't be poking around in peoples cupboards like that, but it felt like home to me.

"It's great we have increased the number of people in this house that live of actually food and just blood-bags and bourbon," Elena said and she and I laughed.

Anna sat hard down on her chair. "Blood?!" She started to look pale again.

"Anna, bend forward," I instructed and she managed to not faint.

Yay!

We managed to get some breakfast and Anna managed not to be rude to Elena, even if she wasn't involved in our conversation. It looked like she started to believe us. The three of us had a really good time and Elena and I had a chance to take our friendship a little further. We had gotten really close the day we spent in the cell downstairs the day of the battle, and I liked to consider her my friend.

"By the way, I saw you and Bonnie at the party, what's up with the two of you, she seemed chilly."

Elena looked a bit hurt. "She's mad that I made Damon compel Jeremy to leave town. He's been through so much and started to get all homicidal-hybrid-slayer on me. Bonnie says it's not my call to decide what his life should be, but what choice would he have if he stayed here?" She really needed my reassurance.
