"Follow the lights" I sighed in annoyance as I stared at the torch that the doctor was holding. Damian was standing beside him and he was looking extremely worried. I felt much better during the ride from the office to the hospital. I followed the light again and again and finally closed my eyes when I felt tired of all this.
"I'm fine now" I huffed.
"What did you eat this morning?" the doctor asked as he started scribbling in his file. I shrugged, making Damian glare.
"I forgot to eat" I told the doctor.
"And last night?" He asked again. What was he trying to do? Maybe he was trying to make Damian kill me? I decided not to answer, knowing that Damian was going to get pissed by the answer.
"Athena" Damian urged and I could hear the control in his voice.
"I forgot to eat" I mumbled, while staring at my hands. I could hear Damian taking a deep breath. Yeah, breathe in, breathe out.
"Then, young lady, we just found out the root of the problem" The doctor said without looking away from the paper that he was studying. "You should eat at regular time. The lack of food makes you weak and thus, you're more prone to get headaches, dizziness and at times your stomach will ache as well" The doctor told me. I nodded and turned to look at Damian who was glaring at me.
"Stop glaring at me!" I exclaimed, making the doctor laugh. Damian rolled his eyes and when the doctor stood up, Damian followed him outside. I stood up and put on my high heels shoes. I was really hungry to be honest. I walked out of the cabinet, then tried to locate Damian and the doctor. They were standing by the reception, so I walked to them. When I reached them, I gently tugged on Damian's arms to pull his attention to me. He turned around to look at me. When his eyes fell on me, his facial expression softened. "I'm hungry" I mumbled, making the corner of his lips tugged upwards a little bit.
"I bet you are" he responded smartly. I rolled my eyes but still stayed by his side like a good kid. The doctor gave Damian a small piece of paper and then walked away.
"What's that?" I asked while leaning my head against his arm as I was feeling really tired.
"Your medicines" He simply said and we started walking to the main door of the hospital. Damian wrapped his arm around me, so that I was kept steady.
"Why do I need medicines?" I asked. "I simply need food. I'm hungry" I huffed.
"You need medicine for the headaches" Damian told me. I didn't know that he was that patient. I wrapped my arms around him, taking him in a hug. I was quite surprised to feel him hugging me back.
"Thank you" I whispered but I knew that he heard me. He squeezed me tighter and I felt him peck me on my head before letting go. He was so caring lately.
"I want to take care of you" He told me, his gray eyes meeting my green ones. I could see sincerity burning in them. I hugged him again before letting go.
"I want food now" I said, and just a few seconds later, my stomach grumbled making Damian chuckle. He took my hands in his, then we made our way to the car.
"You'll have to take your medicines before eating" Damian stated out of the blue as we walked down the parking lot. The car was parked quite a few meters away.
"When I'll eat, I'll feel better. The medicines will be of no use" I explained, turning my head to look at him. We soon reached the car and he opened the passenger door so that I can get in. He was such a gentleman.
"Did you study in the medical field?" Damian asked, sounding genuinely interested. I shook my head, a frown slowly forming on my face as I got I'm the car.
"No, I didn't" I answered while waiting for him to shut the door but he simply stood there and rolled his eyes.
"Then shut up. If the doctor told you to take the medicines, you take them" He told me sternly and by the tone that he was using, I knew that it was better not to argue with him. He closed the door, making me groan slightly. I hated to take medicines. I watched as he walked to the driver seat and got in the car. He looked so handsome with his suit and tie. I gulped and closed my eyes. It was so difficult to concentrate around him.
"Can I ask you a question?" I asked, with my eyes still closed. I could hear him turn the engine of the car on and he hummed to signal that I could. "Why do you have to be so freaking sexy? I mean, I can't even fucking concentrate when you're around me!" I exploded. Damian turned a little bit to look at me, surprise and amusement filling his gray hypnotizing eyes.
"I hate it when women curse but damn, I find it hot when you're the one who does it" Damian suddenly said, his eyes fixed on me. His words made me unwillingly pressed my thighs together. I wanted him. He closed his eyes for a few seconds and seemed to be concentrating on his breathing pattern.
"Damian?" I called. Damian opened his eyes slowly. He was staring at me, his pupils were dilated with lust. "I'm hungry" I told him, my voice quite hoarse. I didn't even know whether I was hungry for food... Or for him. When I bit my lips, I knew that I wanted him. I wanted to have him close to me. What the hell has he been doing to me? The man has took so much importance in my life.
"Let's give you some food" Damian said after exhaling. I nodded, then he started driving. "What do you want to eat?" he asked.
"You" I answered while staring at the road. The car swerved a little bit, making me turn to look at Damian who gulped. He was surprised by how straight forward I was.
"Holyshit" he mumbled under his breath.
