After hearing the news that Makarov had passed, surprisingly enough, Natsu didn't shed a tear, although he did go in denial.

"It can't be true? I refuse to believe it, Gramps is around here somewhere isn't he? This is all just some joke?? Tell me this is a joke!" He was gripping the table so tightly that it was surprising that it didn't break.

"I'm sorry Natsu, but no one is lying to you. Why would we lie about this?" Gray placed a hand on Natsu's shoulder in hopes to calm the tense dragon slayer.

"Where's the grave?"

"Come on, I'll show you" Lucy grabbed a hold on Natsu's arm after Gray and Erza pried him away from the table.  She led him to the cemetery that once held Lisanna's Grave stone. Gray carried Silver in his arms as he followed behind the blonde and the fire mage, Erza following behind Gray.

Lucy stopped in front of a Grave stone and Natsu stared at it. It read 'Here lies Makarov Dreyer, A beloved Grand-Father as well as a Great Master.' While underneath that it read ' Even if I cant see you... no matter how far away you may be... I will always be watching you' along with his date of birth and death.

"N-no.." Natsu's voice cracked as he read the tombstone, his knees gave out and he fell to the ground.

Gray placed Silver down on the ground and walked up the dragon slayer. The child stayed back with Erza and watched his parents. "Why is Daddy sad?"

Erza looked down at him and gave sad smile "He just found out something that upset him, don't worry, he'll be okay."

Gray knelt down next to Natsu and rubbed his back. "Gray...I shouldn't have left...."

"Natsu, That wouldn't have changed anything. "

"I know that, but at least I could have seen him before he died and on happy terms..." he sighed. "I was just so eager to leave cause I didn't want to see your stupid face."

Hurt flashed across Gray's features and he stood up abruptly. "If that's how you feel then..."

Natsu realized what he said and turned to look at the retreating back of the ice mage. "No! wait, Gray!!" The ice mage just walked back to the Guild. Natsu stood up and mentally cursed his loud mouth.

"Come on Natsu, lets go back, you can apologize to him then." Lucy spoke while giving him a pat on the back.

"I guess." Natsu walked over to Erza and Silver, he held his child's hand and they all walked back to the guild.

Cana looked at the mages when they walked through the doors and asked "Alright, who irked Gray?"

Natsu looked at the drunk card mage with slight anger. "I did."

She smirked "Oh look who's back to old times huh!?"

Natsu rolled his eyes "Where is he?"

"In his office, probably throwing a tantrum." She still had that smirk placed onto her features.

Natsu didn't say anything else,  he just made his way up to the office. He heard Gray shouting and then something break, Natsu hurried over to the door, knocked and opened the door enough to poke his head through. "Gray?"

Natsu ended up getting a pen smack in the face. "What?" Gray asked, Clearly annoyed.

A tick mark formed on Natsu's forehead and his eye twitched at getting a pen to the face but he still stepped into the room "I want to apologize."

"For what, you spoke pretty clearly..."

Natsu sighed "I didn't mean what I said ice cube! That's what I thought about your face the day we broke up!"

Gray's expression didn't change. "Don't lie to me. I know you probably still don't want me around and are only tolerating me because of him." he spat out at the dragon slayer

"Don't you dare bring him into this conversation. Of course I want you around! I still care about you Gray!"

Gray scoffed "Please, you proved your feelings the day you left." the ice mage looked down at the item in his hands.

Natsu let out a loud sigh and looked at the item Gray was holding as well, It was a picture. He remembered the crash he heard and then looked to the floor where broken glass and a broken frame was laying. the fire mage looked back at the picture and also noticed blood seeping through small cuts on Grays hands. 'He must of cut himself on the glass while getting that picture..' Natsu thought to himself as he quickly moved over next to him.

"You're hurt." Natsu took the picture away from Grays hands and placed it down on the desk, he then proceeded to clean Gray's wounds with a disinfectant he found placed on the desk along with a few bandages.

Natsu got a look at the picture as he placed it down, it was of him and Gray, 7 years ago. Natsu sighed and finished bandaging up Gray's hands.

"you still have that picture?" Natsu asked.

"Of course, I made my feelings clear to you, and that picture was one of my favorites, I loved how happy you looked in it, and then I ruined your happiness." Gray looked down at his hands.

Natsu was about to speak but was cut off by Gray, who was now looking straight at him. "Can you let me in again, give me another chance? Give us another chance?"

Natsu sighed and looked at those pleading blue eyes. "I'll think about it"

Gray gave Natsu a small smile and whispered "Thank you"

Natsu nodded and walked over to the door but stopped as he thought of something. "I can't change the past, We've both made mistakes, and we both had to accept them, Gramps is gone and I have to accept that, but what I cannot accept is that you're the guild master! Seriously! you?! It could have been me!"

Gray chuckled at the childish fit Natsu was having right now. "You can be co-master if you come back for good! I'll give you back your emblem and we can start over!"

Natsu looked at him and thought about it. "Yeah, I'd like to come back." He smiled and Gray held up the stamp.

Gray walked over to the dragon slayer. "Want it on the same spot as before? and the same color?"

"Yeah." Natsu rolled up his sleeve and Gray placed a red insignia on Natsu's shoulder.

"Welcome back Co-Master."
