Unexpected

Chapter 6

Gray woke up and started to look for the two most important people in his life, he found them sitting in his kitchen, Natsu had his back turned and was standing by the toaster obviously waiting for the toast to pop up. Silver was sitting at the table already eating something. Gray noticed a extra plate on the table with toast and eggs placed on it, he walked up and wrapped his arms around the dragon slayer and placed a small kiss to his cheek. Natsu smiled. 

"Morning Gray" he turned around in Gray's arms.

"Morning" Gray smiled and hugged him. Natsu laughed at this and hugged him back. 

"I placed your breakfast on the table already." Natsu pointed over to the plate placed on the table. 

Gray nodded and thanked him before moving to sit down, before sitting he ruffled silver's hair gaining a laugh from the boy which caused Gray to laugh as well. Natsu joined him soon after Gray sat down. 

After they finished eating Gray cleaned up and moved over to Natsu to give him a kiss, but something happened. Natsu looked at Gray with utter disgust. "What do you think you're doing?" The dragon slayer spat out.

Gray was taken aback by the behavior but that's when he noticed his vision was blurry and he was struggling to stand, his words came out slurred as he spoke. "I'm not doing anything."

"Gray, you're drunk again, I thought you said you gave this up!" Natsu's voice was laced with venom and Gray struggled to comprehend what was happening, he could tell Natsu was angry, very angry to be exact. "That's it, I thought I could give you a chance but I guess I was wrong, I don't want you to come near me or Silver. I'm leaving." 

'no, no, no, not again, Gray what have you done!? you're so pathetic! you couldn't stay away from the bottle could you!'  was that his voice or was it Natsu's he couldn't tell anymore. He couldn't understand how his wonderful morning could turn into something so horrible, he felt like crying as he watched his two most important people walk right out his door and leave him, once again Natsu had left him and it was his fault and now he lost his son as well.

 That's when he woke up.

Gray awoke sitting up straight in his bed, his breathing was uneven and he was shaking uncontrollably. He lifted his hands up to cover his face only to find that his cheeks were wet, he was crying. 

The ice mage got up and made his way to his bathroom to clean himself up, he wiped his face and made sure that his eyes weren't red, luckily they weren't. Gray then walked down to the guest room to see if Silver was still there, he looked inside only to find the room to be empty so he made his way down to the kitchen and noticed it was empty as well, he started to panic and think that his dream had actually come true, at least before he found a note on the kitchen counter, he hesitated to read it but he did. 

The note read 'Gray, Me and Silver couldn't wait for you to wake up and we didn't want to wake you, we got hungry and went to the guild, we didn't wake you because you looked so sleepy last night so we let you sleep. see you later! -Natsu' The handwriting was actually pretty neat, Gray had never seen anything Natsu wrote before so he was a little surprised. He looked at the note again and noticed something else written on the bottom of it. 'See you later papa! -love Silver' The handwriting was sloppy so he knew that Silver had added this to the note himself. Gray smiled and placed it back down on the counter. 

Gray quickly got something to eat and then headed out to the guild. once he got there he opened the doors and soon noticed that Natsu was sitting by the bar with Silver sitting next to him eating what looked like a pancake. Gray smiled and walked up to the two. "Morning" he said as he sat down by Silver.
