Another week went by and Gray had yet to awaken, Natsu was now finally beginning to give up hope that the ice mage would ever awaken again.

The fire mage had kept his promise and was calling the guild everyday, he'd tell them that there was still no change and watch as their face's fell, he'd then talk to Silver who still had no idea that his father was injured and may not make it home. Natsu loved how oblivious his son was because anyone who looked at the dragon slayer could tell that he hadn't slept in a while and that the worry was wearing him down, but Silver didn't see it or at least he couldn't see it through the communication lacrima.

There was only one thing that Natsu  hated when talking to Silver and that was when the boy would always ask to speak to Gray, Natsu would then have to come up with some kind of excuse as to why Silver couldn't talk to him everytime he asked and it was getting on his nerves, he was lying to his son and that was the last thing he ever wanted to do, but he also wasn't ready to tell him the truth, not until he knew for certain if Gray would wake up or if he would be gone forever.

After finishing a call Natsu decided that he needed to get some sleep, he stood from his chair and made his way into the bedroom where Gray was, he took a look at the ice mage and sighed, he still despised that peaceful expression that took over Gray's features. Natsu lid down on the spare bed in the room and soon drifted off into sleep.

Natsu was startled awake by noises all around him, he sat up in his bed and opened his eyes but once he did he wished he could close them again and just go back to sleep.

There were many people in the room and they were all crowded around Gray, but Natsu felt something was off, he couldn't feel Gray's magic energy anymore, he couldn't even hear his heartbeat. 'No..please don't be...'  Natsu pushed past anyone that was in his way, he needed to reach Gray's bed.

He reached the bed and took one look at Gray and he instantly knew that he was gone, there was no life left in the ice mage's eyes which were open, Natsu heard some one say that he must have woken up and then shortly after his heart gave out but the dragon slayer didn't want to believe it, not one bit.

One of the many people in the room started to lift Gray after they shut his eyes, they were carrying him out of the room, they were taking him away,

"NOO!!" Natsu shouted but he couldn't even hear his own voice, he couldn't hear anything, the dragon slayer lunged after the man taking Gray away but he couldn't reach him, someone was holding back, he couldn't see anything anymore due to the tears welling up in his eyes, Natsu knew that the people around him were talking to him but he couldn't hear anything.

'No, he can't be gone, this is some sick joke, Gray's not dead, please, he's not dead!'  Natsu fell to the floor after his knees gave out and sobbed rather loudly, the people in the room slowly filed out one after the other and just left the fire mage to gather himself up and calm down enough to leave the room, but how could he calm down when the one he loved  was just ripped away from him.

The funeral was held a week later, in magnolia, Everyone was there, everyone was crying, tears were falling as if they were rain drops, it also happened to be raining like crazy but that was due to a certain water mage who was bawling her eyes out and clinging on to anyone she was close to.

Natsu was clinging to Silver and Silver was clinging to Natsu, the fire mage no longer had tears to cry and he stood there staring at the grave with emotionless eyes, although anyone could tell that he was suffering from looking at the bags under his eyes and the fact that his eyes were bloodshot meant that he had been crying that day as well as not sleeping.

Silver on the other hand was sobbing loudly at least that's what Natsu thought, he couldn't hear anything, he was emotionless and none of his senses seemed to work, he couldn't feel anyone around him, he couldn't feel the boy in his arms clinging to him for dear life, he couldn't hear the cries from those around him or the cries of his son, he could barely process what was in front of him, his vision was messed up, he may be looking straight at the grave, but he couldn't see it.

time went by and people left, they would walk by the dragon slayer and pat him on the shoulder in an attempt to comfort him or to tell him that if he needed to talk to someone that they were there, of course Natsu didn't hear it but he nodded anyway.

soon it was just Lucy, Erza, himself and Silver left, Lucy hugged Natsu and Erza did that same, Silver as well, that's when he broke...Natsu latched onto the three of them and cried his eyes out for the hundredth time, they all fell to the ground curled up around each other as they let Natsu sob, they too still had tears falling but they weren't crying as much anymore, or they've calmed down enough for now.

After Natsu was a little better they got up and then they left, leaving Natsu by the grave, Silver left as well because he was getting tired. Natsu didn't feel like leaving yet, he knelt down in front of the Grave and stayed there for who know how long. That's when he felt something shaking, and everything went white.

That's when he actually woke up

Natsu shot up on the bed, his breathing shaky and his vision was blurry, he brought his hands up to his face and noticed that there were tears running down his face. Thats when he heard that oh so familiar voice next to him.

"Hey, are you okay? What's wrong?" Worry laced the voice and Natsu looked in the direction it came from after wiping his eyes.

His misty eyes stared into deep pools of blue. "G-Gray?" Natsu jumped at the ice mage, tackling him to the floor and clung to him. "Y-you're awake!!"

"Ah, yeah I am but..."

Natsu Froze at the words that slipped past Gray's lips.

"...but, who are you and who's Gray?"
