where were you?! chap 6

After getting back from her hour walk with Chica she was swarmed with the guys asking her where she had been , all of them looked worried and Mark even looked a bit sick .

"How could you just leave like that , without a note ?" Mark almost shouted but he looked relieved as he hugged her .

"That sounded like a creepy one night stand question " she pointed out and heard Tyler laugh out a sort of sigh noise . All of the men were obviously relieved she was back but she didn't quite know why, she had only been gone an hour or so .

"I took Chica on a walk , I would have told you but you were mid stream and well it looked like the screen was about to suck you guys in . " She said looking at all of them , taking her time to observe Tyler and his facial expression .

"You took Chica on a walk thank God we thought we had lost you both . " Ethan said , speaking for the first time since she had gotten back .

"Yeah , operation get Chica to like me was a success. " She added on to the conversation .

"That's awesome but maybe next time don't scare the hell out of us to do it yeah " Mark said , throwing an arm around her shoulders .

Tyler was stating silent for some reason and she didn't really feel like talking much now either , she was tired she wanted to go home and get some sleep . Just like all of them did she imagines .

"Are you guys done ?" She asked ,Wanting to go home .

"Not quite yet we still have editing to do , " Mark said and she practically whined with impatience.

"If you want I could take you back home . I can't edit for shit so I won't be much use here " Tyler said and Katlin just realised how tired he sounded , should he really be driving .

Despite all of her worries she looks at Mark with tired and pitiful eyes . Hoping he would say yes to Tyler's suggestion.

"Yeah go ahead I'm not going to be home for a while in that case we don't have to rush editing . Tyler if you want you can have my bed I probably won't be home tonight . " Mark says and tyler nods ,his eyes were looking tired and Katlin was growing increasingly scared that he shouldn't be driving her home but he was her only chance of sleeping in a bed tonight so she would take that chance .

"Are you sure you're okay to drive ? You look just as tired as me " Katlin says , more concerned for Tyler than her own safety now .

"Ty you okay to drive ?" She repeats , but this time with her hand on his shoulder , which shakes him out of whatever distant land he was in .

"Huh , um yeah let's just go before I pass out . You might just need to keep that hand on my shoulder as we drive , it seems to keep me aware of my surroundings more . " In reality he just wanted her to keep touching him in some way .

And she does just that , she keeps her hand on his bicep all the way there and she also takes a minute to decide before she also keeps it there as they walk into the house and she's glad she did as he almost walks into lots of walls .

It's only when they get back that they realise that they left Chica at the office , but they can't go back now and Chica did go out so it was all good . It just gives Mark and Ethan company .

"Well I would shower but I'm to tired right now so , you okay to get to marks bedroom or you need some help?" Katlin asks , Tyler had started to sway on the spot but he said he could do it himself so she just sort of left it .

"Okay well goodnight " she says   Wandering off in the direction of her room , half asleep already and as soon as her clothes were off and she was in an oversized shirt she collapsed right into the covers like she did the first night she was there  .

Except the sheets didn't smell like England and her mum's fabric softener anymore it smelled like her and chica's doggy smell .
