lunch chap 10

They feel asleep , lack of sleep and the mornings drama catching up to them in a matter of minutes after they had led back down ,after the kiss , had finally taken its toll on their bodies.

Mark had texted Katlin and told her he'd be home at 4 and they could take Tyler and have lunch together. He didn't promise her but she knew he would try, she knew that being a YouTuber is a lot of work . So she could let him off this one time .

Tyler hadn't woken up yet , the live stream had obviously made him more exhausted than they both thought . So she let him sleep , rolling onto her side to check her social media only to see that Britney had posted a pic of HER crying and saying how she is always to blame .

"What a bitch" Katlin said raising her voice a little and winced when she realised that she had made Tyler stir from his sleep and awake with a throaty groan .

"Wha'?" He muttered, confused from being woken up , he looked around and decided it was to bright for this and threw an arm over his eyes .

"Who's a bitch ?" He muttered into his arm , slowly he turned to face her .

"Britney " Katlin dropped the phone onto his chest so he could check the picture .

"Ignore her , she kinda got us together. I'm not saying she isn't a bitch what she did was bitchy after all but I know that you are strong enough not to retaliate . Okay , now come here" he said pulling her closer so her head was placed gently onto his side .

"Yeah , she kinda did I guess but your the bigger man here not me, figuratively and metaphorically . " She said snuggling a little closer to him as he wrapped his arm around her shoulders . Giving the top of her head a kiss .

Tyler made a humming noise sort of mixed with a laugh as he imagined Katlin as him , like her head on his body , even the image in his mind was enough to make him crack up .

"We should get up , Mark will be back in a minute and we need to be ready . We could always finish dumbo after all it is your favourite"

Another humming noise came from Tyler as he made a great deal of effort sitting himself up , dislodging her head from his side in the process .

"I'm back " they both heard Mark shout from somewhere downstairs .

"We're up here " Tyler shouted back and Katlin gave him a look that made him regret his choice to shout.

"What are you doing in katlins room ?" He said , looking in from the doorway .

"Katlin was having trouble bringing her laptop ,charger and headphones back to her room so I helped . "

"Ah well I'm ready when you are. " Mark said.

"Ready" both of them said at the same time , looking over at each other as they do and smiled with the widest smile.

Mark said that Tyler could stay the night tonight if he wanted because they had videos to plan for so they could get some work done. So after they had finished lunch then they would go to Tyler's apartment and get some more clothes for him.

The car ride was silent except for all of the music that mark was listening to , Now this is what I call Christmas was on the pogues fairy tale of New York . It made katlin smile thinking about being home next week for Christmas after all it was the 20th today.

"OMG it's the 20th I have no Christmas presents yet , mark ? Please may I earn some more money so I can buy my family some presents . I completely forgot " she said worrying . She hadn't even looked at the date in days she hadn't needed to.

"I'll just give you money , you don't need to earn anything . Is $200 alright ?" He paused and looked at her face " okay maybe $300 then "

"No no I don't need that much at all I was just thinking like $50 at most " she said panicking.

"Fine $200 it is , but don't forget my present " he said giving her a look only a brother could master and a brother he was.

"I won't forget you , your to loud for me to forget " she said giving off a chuckle and a wide smile.

At that moment they were at the IN-N-OUT burger that mark had dragged them across town for. Tyler was the first out ,stretching his awkwardly long limbs into the air ,the shirt of marks he was wearing was to small and so it rode up as he stretched and katlin gave him a wink as she turned and stood next to mark.

"Okay I'll order you go and get a seat , what do you want ?" Mark said.

"Burger "

"Burger I suppose " katlin said , walking towards an empty set of seats , Tyler following behind her slowly.

"So we know that we're going to have to this a secret right ? Because mark would kill us both if he found out. " katlin said , she knew Tyler knew but she wanted to be sure.

"Yeah I know that , I'm not stupid. " Tyler sounded offended that she would even have to ask.

"What are you too talking about ?" Mark questioned , sitting down in the empty spot next to katlin.

"Food" Tyler said before katlin could say anything about it.

Mark made a humming noise and checked his phone , looking through all his social media before he realised that it was awkwardly silent on their table.

"What's going on ? You two have barely talked all day "

"I'm just tired , and I think Tyler is too . After all you guys were streaming until 1:30 this morning. " she looked over at Tyler who was in turn looking at his shoes. "We both barely got any sleep "

"Okay if that's all then what were you too having fun doing before I got home ?"

"Watching dumbo "

"Wow Tyler I thought you'd already seen that film like 20 times already " mark said looking up from his phone to catch Tyler's expression.

"Well it is my favourite film after all. "
