Dear Simon,

For my last night in New York until after the New Year, my friends decided to head out for a nice morning in the city.

We got coffee, shopped, and even picked up cupcakes at our favorite bakery.

It was such a nice day until I came home and realized I still hadn't finished packing. I don't know why I'm going. They'll just try to start shit with me anyway.

However I talked to my boss, he said there's a promotion with my name on it if everything goes as planned. But I would have to move, back to London because that's where they'll need me.

Of all the cities in the world and London was the place they chose. Just my luck.

I moved away from there for a reason. I'm not sure if I would want to go back.

Remember last Christmas when I told you I got a job in New York? You weren't as happy as I was.

But I'm done thinking about it until I absolutely have to. Which is like after Christmas when I have to make a decision.

I wish I could ask you for advice. You always gave the best advice whenever I needed it.

Your friends are lucky to have you.

I should probably finish packing, my plane leaves in the morning.

From,
Celeste
