"So it started a while ago, when me and everyone else were Freshmen. Me and Jackson had known each other since seventh grade and were talking near my locker. When DJ approached us, he was a Freshman too, I noticed he was staring at me."

She took a breath and continued.

"Jackson had noticed and stepped in front of me, and began to confront him. DJ, however, thought nothing of him and pushed him out of the way, and pinned me to the locker. He started to flirt with me, and, being the person I am, I proceeded to elbow him in the stomach, allowing me to leave his grip and leave with Jackson."

"Did you not tell someone?"

"They wouldn't have believed us if we did, DJ has a perfect record and it would be quote unquote 'not in his nature.'"

"Damn... That's... Damn..." I say stunned. "Has he done that to anyone else?"

"Gladly, no. Or at least not until you came here anyways."

The bell rang, signifying the start of class.
~*~*~*

Violet was once more humming a tune when she sat down at our table with her tray. All of us were staring at her.

What?" She asked, anxious as to why we were staring.

"You're..." Lys started.

"Happy..." Red finished for Lys. Violet rolled her eyes and began to eat her salad. Attempting to change the subject, she turned to me.

"I think I figured out why DJ had pinned you."

"Why?"

"So, I did some thinking and remembered that he had some screwed up ways of saying he liked you, and pinning that person to a locker is one of them."

"Wait. So you mean he likes you, too!?" I exclaimed.

"Oh hell no. He did like me. That was before Jackson kicked his ass."

"I thought you would be the one to kick his ass." Lys said while glancing at Violet.

"I-..." Violet was left wordless was looking down and blushing. "Look Jackson beat me to it."

"Mhm... We'll go with that." Red said while rolling her eyes.

"Guys, stop teasing her." I said while taking a bite of my pizza.

Violets phone buzzes, and as she checks it, a look of surprise surfaces on her face. "Uh... I have to go... See you later." She said while standing and throwing away her tray, and leaving us to question her sanity. "What the hell is that about?" Lys asked to no one in particular. "I have no idea..." Red said, staring at her purple haired friend.  Violet had been acting a bit more... Not like Violet for the past day. It was strange. Was she finally breaking the hard shell she surrounded herself with? Or could something be happening to her? It made my head hurt thinking of all the things that could make Violet happy. I remembered the spot of red I had seen under her choker that other day. Could that have something to do with her mysteriousness? I don't know, and it kind of scares me to think about it.
