David POV: It was about 4 am and our flight is leaving at 7. I decided to get up a little earlier and get Landon dressed and ready so that Liza didn't have to. I got him out of his crib super carefully, and laid him gently on his changing table. Then, I looked at him for a moment. He was so little and fragile....so weak.....so....helpless (insert Hamilton song here😂 okok...I apologize.) I was reminded of just how much he meant to me and what I would do to protect both him and Liza. After admiring him, I finally got him dressed.

Then I made Liza her coffee to go, and woke her up just in time do get ready. I leaned over next to her on the bed, "Liza.....babe...come on, we have to get to the airport." She opened her eyes a little and looked over at the alarm clock on her bedside table. "SHIT!" "Well good morning to you too beautiful." I said chuckling. "OMIGOD! I only have an hour to get me AND Landon ready to be at the airport an-" I grabbed her hand and pulled her into a hug, snapping her out of her frantic state. "First of all, don't worry about Landon he's already ready..look." She looked over at Landon, who was fast asleep in his crib, with his packed bag on the floor next to him. "And second...stop freaking out about this...it's just my family." "JUST YOUR FAMILY?! David look, like I said they've meet me once, briefly at an airport, and the next thing they hear from me is that I'm having your baby. I just....want them to like me." She said to me. "You know what? You're right, they're not going to like you........THEY'RE GOING TO LOVE YOU!" "I hate you." She said giggling, walking into the bathroom to get ready. "Love you too baby."
Liza POV: The plane ride lasted about 3 hours, and Landon (being the perfect baby he is) slept the entire time, and woke up right when we landed. Just in time to greet his grandma. We were waiting at the gate for Davids mom to pick us up. When she arrived she immediately got out of the car and ran over and hugged David as he set down Landon's car seat. Then she hugged me, and bent down to see Landon. "That's one good looking kid." She said laughing. I have to admit, his mom already made me feel very welcome. His siblings were at school for another hour or so, so we just stayed and talked at the house until it was time to go get them. "Lemme hold him!" Was the first thing out of her mouth. I took him out of his car seat and carefully handed him to Davids mom, who looked down at him and started to cry, "Oh! Davey.....what a sweet boy you have here....he's beautiful." After, Landon started to get a little fussy, so David went and got him, trying to gently rock him, but it wasn't working. I took Landon from Davids arms, and as soon as I did, he stared up at me with his big brown eyes, and immediately calmed down. He just stared while I gently bounced him in my arms. "She's so good at that." David said chuckling towards his mom. "Yep, you got your self a keeper. Good mom...and she's gorgeous. Definitely a good choice." She said winking and smiling at David. "I think so too." David said kissing my head. About 30 minutes later it was time to pick the kids up from school, David wanted to go and insisted I came with him, so his mom offered to watch Landon. He had fallen asleep anyways, and I trusted her. We arrived at the school right on time, and walked to the courtyard to wait for the kids to come out. The first to come out were his sisters Sarah and Esther. They ran over to him and hugged him as he scooped them into his arms. "How's my girls?!" He said giving them each a quick peck on the head. "Good" They both answered. Then they each came and grabbed one of my hands. I was much closer with the kids because they had come to stay with us a few times, so they called me their aunt and everything. About 2 minutes later we saw Toby come out into the courtyard. As soon as he saw David he made a sprint towards him, and leaped into his arms. David stood up gripping Toby tightly against his chest, as he heard a few sniffles escape. He was really happy to see David, and David was happy to see Toby. We all walked back to the car, and the 3 kids sat in the back. "Hey wait a minute? Wasn't Aunt lili fat last time I saw her?" Sarah and Esther let out a few giggles. "Ha...ummm yea. But that's because there was a baby in my tummy Toby, a baby named Landon." Toby looked confused. "Where is he now??" "He's back at the house little bud, waiting to meet you!" David said. "Cool!! So I have a new brother?!" He asked excitedly. "Not exactly....he's your nephew, That means that Me and Liza are Landon's mommy and daddy." He explained. "Oh. But... you can't be a daddy." Toby said back. "Why ?" "Because you don't know how....nobody showed you." David didn't have a father growing up, so I guess that's what Toby was referring to. I could tell it broke Davids heart to hear Toby say that, its always been a sore subject with all 3 of the kids. However, David being the oldest, he had done a pretty good job at sort of filling that role for all of them. "Well, that's ok Toby. I'm figuring it out as I go. And hopefully I'll do a good job so that I can show you how to be a good daddy." David said back to him. "Ewwwwwww....to have a baby you have to have a wife...and girls are icky!" Toby said giggling. "True...buuuut, if you find someone as good as Liza, I promise they won't seem as bad." David said placing his hand on my thigh. Sarah saw this from the backseat and shouted, "HEY HEY HEY! Watch where you put those hands mister..." making us all laugh. Just then we arrived back at Davids house, when we walked in Davids mom was holding Landon gently rocking Him. "I'm hungryyyyy" Toby said, and Sarah and Esther agreed. "Let's go make you guys a snack then!" Liza said picking Toby up and carrying him to the kitchen.
David POV: As soon as Landon heard Liza's voice he immediately started to cry. I tried to go over to him and hold him to calm him down, but he just wasn't having it. He was pretty funny....during the day if he was going to be awake, he wanted Liza, plain and simple. He would rarely let me hold him during the day. But around 5 o'clock everyday, it switches and then for the rest of the night, he wants me. And he won't fall asleep unless I'm holding him, it's pretty cute. Just then all 3 of the kids remembered that Landon was here and rushed over to see him. I handed him to Liza, and like always he immediately calmed down. Liza and I sat on the couch and all 3 kids gathered around, Toby hopped in my lap and Sarah and Esther were on the other side, next to Liza. Sarah and Esther made silly faces and made him smile for a few minutes before losing interest and going to get a snack. However, Toby was very interested and he stayed, just watching Landon. "But....I don't get it..." He said looking up at Me. "What?" I questioned. "Welll.....you have to have a WIFE before you have a baby, and I don't remember your wedding..." "Well...uh that's right Toby...but...you see.....well...uh.." Just the. Liza jumped into the conversation and saved me. "But sometimes, god decides he wants you to have a baby before." "Ooooooohhhhhhhhh ok." We didn't really do much after that, just sat and talked, and before we knew it, it was bedtime for the kids
Liza POV: After all of the kids were in bed David and I decided to sit and chat with his mom for a while. "You know...I'm gonna be honest...I was TERRIFIED when I heard you two were going to have a baby. I didn't think you two could do it. I mean, I was a teen mom and it's rough, and I didn't want you two to be unhappy being teen parents. However, BOTH of you still seem just as happy if not happier than before. And that's all I want for you two." "Awaaaaaawwa thanks mom..." David said getting up and hugging her. "And, Liza dear.....you are the most precious little thing. You are so great at what you do. And I knew from the moment I saw you with David in the airport for the first time, that you were his one and only, and that you were 'the one'." Saying that she made me tear up, now I truly knew that I belonged. I got up to go hug her. "I love you." She said to me. "Aw...I love you too." I said back. ********************************************************************************** Still Liza POV: The other 3 days that we were there we didn't really do much, we also didn't film, we wanted to spend time with our family. On our last day Davids mom dropped us off at the airport and cried as she hugged each of us...especially Landon."Don't get too much older while your away...ok?" She said crying. Then she looked at David. "Ugh....my little boy isn't a little boy anymore, he's an adult, with a girlfriend and a baby. I love you David. " "I love you too momma." He said tearing up. "And Liza....sweet sweet Liza. You are an amazing mother, and perfect in every way. Don't ever change, I can't wait to see you again. And keep an eye on David for me will ya ?" She said laughing. "I will." I said back. "And well make sure and FaceTime you sometime." Then we got on our flight, again, it was pretty boring. And as soon as we got to L.A, we ubered back home, and went straight to sleep. All in all, it was a great trip.
