The clock ticked. It was 2:30. Half an hour left.
Half an hour until I hear the dreaded news Phil thought.
Dan walked into the living room and sat down on the sofa. Phil sat next to him. He rested his head on Dans shoulder.
"I'm scared" Phil whispered. "What if it is Cancer?"
"I'm scared too" Dan said
At 2:45, Dan And Phil walked down to the doctors. It was 2:55 when they got there, and by the time they had signed in, it was 3:00. Phil was immediately called into the examination room and Dan followed.
Phil laid on the bed and the doctor asked him a lot of irrelevant questions. Finally he asked where the lump was.
"It's on my chest, right here"
"Ok. Do you mind taking your shirt off please?"
"Ok"
Phil took his shirt off and the doctor started examining it. He took a biopsy of the lump.
"I will send this off the lab, the results should be here in 7 days. If you call the receptionist, they will be able to tell you the results"
"Thank you" Phil said.
"Goodbye."
Dan and Phil walked out of the doctors office, back home.
"I don't want it to be cancer" Phil said
