The next day, Dan and Phil were cuddling on the couch. Suddenly, some post came through the letterbox and Dan got up reluctantly to get it.
"Phil?"
"Yeah?"
"It's for you."
Dan brought in the letter, and Phil opened it, to find out that it was from *Dr. Sullivan* from the hospital. This is what it read:
Dear Phillip Micheal Lester,
As you already know, you need chemotherapy to treat your lung cancer. However, upon reviewing your biopsy again, we have found out that your cancer is quite severe. You will need chemotherapy every 7 days to keep it under control.
Your first appointment will be on Monday the 17th of December at 1:30 in the afternoon. If you have any problems with this appointment, do not be afraid to contact the hospital to change it.
Regards,
Mrs Sullivan, Chemotherapy Doctor, Manchester Hospital.
Phil looked at Dan, Dan could see his eyes filling with tears.
"It's bad." Phil said
Dan snatched the letter from Phil and read it.
They both sat on the couch for the rest of the day. They didn't know what else to do.
