Ryland's pov
"I love you too"I said as I could finally open my eyes
Shane's warm tears dropped one by one onto my forearm that we were holding hands with
They fell fast but not together
Lisa came running in with a doctor
He took out one of the IVs from my hand out and left
About ten minutes later he came back looking worried
"Shane we need to speak to you"he said
Shane got up and followed him
--Shane's pov--
I got up and they lead me to a room and we sat down
"Ryland's heart is getting weaker and he's at a risk of heart failure and the only option is surgery so we need you to sign this"he said handing me a black clipboard with yellow paper on it
I signed where it said too as more and more tears were welling up in my eyes
"Thank you now we need to do this very soon so you can go see Ryland now then we should have results in about five hours"he said
"What results?"I asked nervously
He sighed "to see if he survives because he should have been brought in earlier"he said then left
I should've brought him in earlier he might die because of me
I was a crying mess as I walked into the room
"Baby what's wrong?"he asked
"They have to do surgery and this may be goodbye"I whispered tears where in his eyes causing them to be glossy
"I love you so much Ryland"I cried
"I love you too Shane and I promise if life tries to take me I'll fight like hell to live so I can see you again"he said looking me in he eyes
I nodded and kissed him and hugged him until they made me leave
Lisa was sitting outside the room
"I heard now come on"she said taking me to my car
I've never cried this much before  5 hours

18,000 seconds
Is how long she stayed with me by my side not talking just listening
Then we went inside
"Oh Mr.yaw we wherrle looking for you Ryland is in recovery he's still asleep but would you like to come see him?"a young,sweet looking women said
I nodded and me and Lisa went in and stayed until Lisa had to go and I fell asleep
-next day when Ryland is up-
Ryland's pov
A nice looking women nurse walked in holding a pamphlet and a clipboard
"Okay Ryland all you have to do is fill this out while we check the blood and you should be good to go by later today since your recovery was so good"she smiled handing me the clipboard and handing Shane a pamphlet then leaving
"What does it say?"I asked quietly
"We'll talk about it when we get home"he said so quiet it was almost inaudible
I filled out the rest of the forms
Then turned them in and we waited for what seemed like forever when it was only three hours
Then after they forced me to eat an apple and gave me some pain killerd they gave us permission to leave
As we walked out the door with the chilly December air hitting our faces is stopped Shane and hugged him
"I'm so sorry shane I'm such an idiot"I cried
"You're not an idiot you're a human being sorry to break the news to you"he said hugging me back
"That wasn't even funny yet I'm laughing"I laughed as u wiped excess tears from my eyes
"Lets go home baby"he said holding my hand as we walked to the car
Shane's pov
We were finally home at last
I walked over to the kitchen and just stared at the ground where I almost lost the love of my life
Tears came to my eyes but I heard crying before mine
I turned around and Ryland was staring at his phone...reading
I walked over and wrapped my arms around him bringing him in close
"You're perfect Ryland they just want to take out there anger"I said softly
He continued to cry while hugging me
I guess I never realized how thin he got
"Take off your shirt"I said bluntly
He stared at me in sorrow
Then he took it off exposing how thin he was
I felt my eyes burn like bonfires wiyh tears as they slid down my face
I grabbed a plate from behind me
"Shane I can't I'm to fat"he said
"Ryland you're not fat you're fucking killing yourself!"I screamed throwing the plate down causing it to shatter everywhere
Ryland looked at me in fear
"I'm sorry"he cried
"Me too"I cried back
Then we just hugged
"You look exhausted go get some sleep"I said
He nodded and I kissed his forehead then he went up to go to sleep
I was just confused so I sat down and snuggled on the couch with Uno for about 20 minutes until my phone buzzed
1 new text from:babty
So I opened it
"Baby can you get me tacobell...please🐶"he texted
He wanted to eat to be honest I'm so happy I cried
"Sure"I replied
"Yayyyy ilysm"he wrote
"Y r u so cute ilym"I wrote then grabbed my keys and walked out
