Chapter 8

Chapter 8: Kyle's POV

I have a feeling in the pit of my stomach that I know why Jc called Kat back see him.

He asked her out.

I saw him looking at her when the earthquake was going on. It hurt me how she didn't even look to see if I was ok. I hear footsteps behind me and know Kat has come back.

"So what was that about?"

"Oh you know........Jc asked me out in a date!!!!!!"

"Really?? That's awesome!!" I lie. I'm happy for her but inside I'm sad.

"I'm so happpy!! If it weren't for you I would've never met him, and would've been forever alone. Which will probably happen anyways,"

I'm going to try to attempt to tell her I like her now so she won't go on that date.

"Listen, Kat I've been wanting to tell you somethin- "

*buzzz*

Kat's phone goes off.

"Oh wait Jc just texted me,"

I look over her shoulder and see that Jc said

'How about tomorrow for dinner?'

She texts back.

'Yea, what time and where?'

'Umm, is 6 good to pick you up? And the Lyvo Diner.'

'Yeah that's good. I'll see you then!! byee!!! xx'

'Ok bye (: xx' was the last of the texts. I quickly look away and pretend I haven't been snooping this whole time.

"So what'd you wanna say?"

"Oh umm, nevermind.." I lie once again. I lie because I don't want to make this relationship hard for her to worry about me. I just wish I wouldn't have bought those plane tickets in the first place.

"So anything you wanna do today?" I ask Kat.

"Uhh..how about we just go chill by the pool for a little. I need to relax a bit,"

"Alright let's get ready,"

I watch Kat walk in to the bathroom so I close the blinds and get ready in between our beds. Hopefully, she take long enough, so she won't walk out on me at a bad time.

I slip off my shirt and pants and slip on my swim trunks. That was actually faster then I expected. I wait another 10 minutes before Kat gets out.

"What took you so long?"

"We'll I had to take off all my clothes, go to the bathroom, put on my bikini, put my hair in a bun, put my coverup on over my bikini and take off my makeup,"

"Ok I got it now.... lets go," I say opening the door.

When we get to the pool there's about 2 families there.

Me and Kat jump in to the cold showers to get used to the cold water faster. we decide to jump in together.

"Ready?" she asks me

"Yup,"

"On the count of three, 1...2...3!!!"

*SPLASH*

We sink to the bottom together slowly floating our way back to the surface.

"That was fun!" Kat says happily.

*buzzz buzzz buzzz*

"Awe really I just got in," Kat says climbing out of the pool to get her to her phone.

"Hello?"

"Heey Kat it's Jc,"

"Oh hey Jc, what's up?"

"Um is it ok if I change the date to today because I realized that tomorrow I have to do my Thursday video for o2l,"

"Ooohhhh ok yeah that's totally fine, same time?"

"Yeah that'd be good,"

"Ok I'll see you then byee!!"

"Bye!!"

She jumps back in the pool and swims over to where I am.

"Ok so I'm going with Jc at six so that gives me 1 more hour to swim and 2 hours to take a shower and get ready," she says with a smile.

"Ok, I'm guessing he has something to do tomorrow?"

"Yea a video,"

"Ahh, ok,"

For the rest if the hour we just play around in the water splashing each other. this had to be one of the best times I've had with her.
