We stood there outside of the Underworld, Nathan was barely moving and I was on Autopilot, I put Ebony down and grabbed her by the hand also grabbing Nathan's and using my instincts, I guided us out of the caves.

Once on the mountain track I used my earth powers to create a flat path for us to walk down, none of us were steady enough to walk around on a mountain normally.

Once we reached the outskirts of the forest I realised that everything was unnaturally silent, none of the birds were singing and the breeze barely stirred up the grass.

The sun was hidden by the clouds and it was about two o'clock in the afternoon. I barely looked at my surroundings, just walking forwards still hanging onto my two friends, knowing that once we reached the middle of the forest we'd be able to see the castle.

It was about three o'clock when we emerged from the forest to find the castle looking sullen and still, no one was running around outside, working in the forge, swimming in the pool or resting in the gardens, there was nothing to be happy about especially if we were the only group back, minus a member.

Don't think of that, you just feel worse.

I sighed and let go of the two people on either side of me and I opened the front door of the castle, there was no one around so I went to the Meeting Room, if anyone was home, they'd be there.

When I opened the door a set of arms were immediately wrapped around my neck. I swayed almost falling over before regaining my balance and looking down at the girl who was clinging to me. It was Krystal.

"Oh my Gods, Thai I'm so glad you're back, you too Eb." She said letting go and giving her a hug too.

Then she realised something was wrong.

"Hey Nathan, where's Nick?" she said letting go as Ron, Sarah and Georgia stood up realising the same thing.

Ron was hanging onto Sarah's hand and his eyes widened at Nathan asking him a silent question.

Ebony started crying silently and Nathan just shook his head sitting on the black leather chair behind him with a thump.

Ron dipped his head, pulling Sarah closer who just refused to move, eyes wide open like she couldn't believe it.

Ebony still had his sword in her hand, letting it hang loosely by her side and when she looked at Krystal she just gave it to her, still not being able to talk about it.

Neither of them had spoken a word since we had left the Underworld and neither had I, I'd just done what had needed to be done without a thought, just moving on instinct, I was numb.

Georgia held a hand to her mouth and bit it to stop herself from crying, sitting back down on the couch and turning off the TV that I hadn't noticed was on.

"What's the date?" I asked wanting to know if we still had a chance of Holly's team coming back.

"It's the first." Said Sarah with no expression as she tore herself from Ron's grip and sat down next to Georgia, absently rubbing her arm to give her some comfort.

She was running on autopilot too, doing what needed to be done before the mourning process could begin.

We just sat like that, not moving for a few minutes until someone flung the door open and ran through. It was Holly.
