The soft warm nothing went away, and was replaced with hard, hot pain.

"AHH" I groaned as feeling returned to my limbs. I felt like someone buried me alive for a few days before skinning me and roasting me over a bonfire. In other words, not good.

My body was completely dry and even though people were pouring cool water all over me, my body stayed dry.

I heard someone crying and a machine beeping in the background but I didn't care.

Don't they know how much it hurts?

Someone poured more cool water onto my body, my clothes were still on but they were covered in sand and torn everywhere.

"UGH!" I groaned this time louder.

All movement in the room stopped and you could've heard a pin drop.

My eyes wear still blurry but I could still use my ears.

"Is... is she- Said someone off to my right. "Yes Krystal I think she is." Said a familiar female voice.

"Thai. Can you speak?" One person came forwards and stuck there faces centimetres from mine but I couldn't make out proper features (that worried me a bit).

"What do you think?" I croaked in barely a whisper. "Oh thank Gods!" said Ebony behind me...

Oh my Gods Ebony!

I sat bolt upright "Eb- Eb are you ok?" I said turning my head to wear the voice came from. "Are you Ok?" I asked moving my head slightly wondering why I couldn't hear anything.

"Thalia you need to lay down." Said someone with a male voice... Nathan maybe?

I was trying to figure out a million things at once and my brain was short circuiting.

"Thalia! Lay down or your body will over heat!"

I did as he said. (Definitely Nathan.)

"Why can't I see?" I asked to no-one in particular. No-one answered me. "Well? Why can't I see?"

"We don't know." Said the familiar voice... Hazel...

"Lloyd, Clare and everyone one else was battling a hoard of evil spirits when Krystal ran in saying that you had dried out and Ebony had been tossed under a car. We finished off the spirits and Nathan (With Harry's help) immediately started healing you. Without him you might have completely turned to dust."

Nathan saved me...

Hmmm, I'm really not sure how I feel about that...

"Thai," said Hazel placing a hand on my arm. "What happened once Krystal and Ebony were unconscious?"

I told them how drying out the lake had drained me and I knew that to save Krystal and Ebony I was going to have to risk my life and kill the Axolotl.

No-one said anything until Martin, who made me angry.

"Axolotl's are cute I had one when I was little, I called him Bob and... really I don't understand how you could almost die to a creature like that no matter how big."

I felt my fists clench and my forehead heat up and the ground started shaking and then my lip split in several places and there was blood running down my chin. That just made me angrier.

I saw someone (Martin) back up quickly when this happened but he was too late. A huge rock sprang out of the ground and hit him in the chest knocking him to the ground.
