Chapter 4: RESET or CONTINUE?

    Chara wakes up later, half expecting there to be pie and the smell of pancakes and bacon.
    Frisk is still asleep.
   Toriel's voice can be heard in Chara's head, "Good morning my child!"
    A few tears escape Chara's eyes.
    His eyes are opening, "H-Huh?" He sits up and looks around, then at Chara. The pile of dust from yesterday has flown around in the room.
    Chara watches as the dust swirls in a tornado formation.
    Hidden looks at Frisk, then back at Chara. Then stares at the dust tornado.
    "My child, do not be afraid, I will be back soon." the dust flows out of the RUINS.
    Frisk immediately wakes up, "Mommy Toriel!" She looks around, "Huh? W-Where is she?"
    "M-mom!" Chara starts sobbing again.
    "O-Oh..." She cries, and puts her knees up to her head, then stands up and runs off. Frisk runs out through the door and into the rest of the Ruins.
    "Frisk!" She chases after them.
    Hidden follows them.
    Frisk stops at a rock, and the pile of dust is sitting there, "M-Mommy?"
    Hidden looks down sadly.
    The dust flows into a shape like Toriel, "Goodbye, my children..." The dust figure smiles, then falls back down to the ground, fully disappearing.
    Frisk sits down and sighs as a tear rolls down their cheek.
    "MOM!" her voice cracks mid word, and she starts sobbing again.
    "Wait... Chara! I know h-how to bring Mommy Toriel back!" Frisk looks down at her soul. A RESET button and a CONTINUE button appear in front her.
    "I g-guess this is a goodbye Chara!" Frisk smiles as a tear rolls down her cheek.
    "No! It's not worth it!" She throws the knife in an attempt to press the CONTINUE button, but it cracks, and pieces fall off of it, making it no longer functioning, "No!"
    Frisk steps back and the RESET button lays still, but the CONTINUE button is smashed. She puts her hand on the RESET button, and smiles at Chara as she starts disappearing, she then disappears fully.
    Hidden looks at Chara, his hands beginning turning into dust, "U-Uh..." He looks at Chara, and she begins turning to dust as well.
    Chara looks DETERMINED and stops turning into dust, gritting her teeth, "No. I'm not dying today." She grabs her knife and walks to the start of the game.
    Frisk is in the menu screen. She sighs, and presses the RESET button and a name thing appears in front of Frisk. She types in "Frisk", presses yes, and wakes up in a patch of flowers. Frisk looks around.
    Hidden stops himself from turning into dust as well, and follows Chara.
    Chara is leaning on the wall next to the entrance to the RUINS, waiting for Frisk.
    Flowey appears in front of her and she smiles, "Flowey!" Frisk runs up and hugs the flower, then Toriel comes out from behind a pillar.
    "Hmm? My child? It seems you have made friends with this flower of mine!" She smiles and picks Frisk up, walking into the RUINS.
    She sees Chara, "C-Chara!" Toriel drops her and Frisk runs up to Chara, hugging her.
    Toriel looks over at Chara and begins tearing up, "Chara..." She runs up to Chara as well.
    Chara looks at Frisk, "Why'd you reset?" She can't stop turning to dust anymore.
    Frisk looks up at Toriel, "Look! It's Mommy Tor-" She notices that Chara is turning to dust, "C-Chara... N-No!" Frisk wraps their arms around her.
    Toriel looks down at Chara and wraps her arms around her as well.
    Her soul fuses with Frisk's soul, and she stops turning into dust.
    Hidden comes up from behind, then walks backwards and hides behind a pillar. His hands are fully dust, "Well... I-It was nice living..." He smiles, "At least I-I'll get to see you again b-bro..." Tears are streaming down his face.
    Chara hears him, "C-come here..." She hugs him, and somehow, he stops turning into dust.
    His face lights up, and he hugs her back, blushing. He lets go, "T-Thank you..." He smiles.
    Toriel looks around, "Now, who wants some pie?" She smiles.
    "Me!"
    "S-Sure..." He's still smiling.
    Chara smiles and looks up at Toriel, "Thanks mom."
    Toriel grabs Chara and Frisk's hand and walks off with them happily.
    Hidden walks slowly behind them, and looks down. Mumbles to himself, "S-She... Saved m-me..." He blushes, and walks a little faster.
    When they get to the house, she eats a BIG slice of pie.
    Hidden sits down at the table and takes a slice of pie.
    Frisk giggles, and also eats a slice of pie.
    "Hey mom, may I have some more pie?"
    "Yes you may my child!" She smiles
    Hidden looks at Chara, then continues eating pie.
    Chara smiles and takes a smaller piece of pie.
    Frisk finishes piece of pie and lays down on the ground, "Too... Much good pie!" she giggles.
    Hidden chuckles and finishes his pie.
    Chara finishes her other piece and drags Frisk to their bedroom, "G'night Frisk." She falls asleep on the floor.
    Hidden looks at Toriel.
    Toriel smiles, "You can sleep in the spare bedroom." She leads him to the room and walks back.
    Hidden smiles and opens the door he lays down on the dusty bed and sighs, "..."

I'll post this story more frequently, seeing as the chapters are already in a google document, and there are over 100 pages on said document, so... yeah. I told you, I'm insane. Anyway, love you all! Bai!~
