Chapter 17: Outcast

Time skip to a few weeks later...

    The sound of someone lightly banging on the door to the RUINS echoes through the hallway. Chara and Frisk were home alone.
    "I'll get it, you stay here." Chara says to Frisk, walking out of their room.
    As she opens the door, someone falls in as the hard surface is moved away from them.
    Chara picks them up and leans them against the wall, closing the door.
    "Sh-Shadow!?" She exclaims, looking at Shadow.
    Shadow's face is covered in bruises and cuts, and she is missing a tooth or two. One of her ribs was broken as well.
    "C-C-Chara he-help me..." She passes out from the pain.
    "FRISK! I NEED YOU TO CALL SOMEONE WITH HEALING MAGIC!! NOW!!" Chara shouts, and Frisk rushes out of the room with her phone already to her ear.
    "I'm calling mom!" Frisk says.
    Chara nods. She uses her magic to summon a bed. She picks up Shadow and sets her on the bed.
    "I know a little bit of healing, so I can heal the minor wounds..." she mutters to herself.
    She puts her hands above Shadow, and a green aura forms around her hands, and the cuts and most of the bruises that Shadow had disappeared.
    A bright flash of white light appeared next to Chara.
    "Why did my sister come here, and not to me?" It was Radius.
    "Maybe because she trusts me more."
    "You've killed her twice."
    "Keep your friends and family close, but your enemies closer." Chara says.
    Toriel comes in, and Radius disappears.
    "My child! What happened to this poor human?" Toriel exclaims.
    "I don't know. I healed most of the cuts and bruises, but she has a few broken ribs and two missing teeth."
    Toriel was already healing Shadow with her magic while Chara was speaking.
    Shadow stays unconscious, even though she's fully healed.

A few days later...

    Shadow is still asleep when Chara walks into her room with a bowl of cereal.
    She almost drops the bowl. Radius is sitting on Frisk's bed.
    "What the hell are you doing here!?" Chara hisses.
    "Visiting my sister. Sad, isn't it?" He says, looking at Shadow.
    "What's sad?" She asks.
    "She came to the person who broke her twin's heart for help rather than her actual twin." He says, looking at Chara. He stands up and walks over to her.
    "What do you want?" Chara says, scowling at him.
    He takes the bowl of cereal out of her hands and sets it down. He grabs her wrists.
    "I want you back." He says, getting close to her face.
    "Not a chance in heck. Let me go." She says, gritting her teeth.
    "Why not?" He smirks.
    "I already moved on. I'm dating someone a million times better than you. Someone who loves me for me, not because I'm a princess." Chara says.
    "Well, you'll have to forget about him then." He says, then kisses her.
    Chara pulls away immediately and slaps him, "Get out. Now. You don't want me to be angry."
    "Nah, I'd like to stay here." He corners her.
    Shadow wakes up with a gasp, and sits up.
    Chara teleports to the side of the bed that Shadow is in, and puts her hand on Shadow's shoulder.
    "Shhh, it's gonna be okay, you're safe. I'm not going to hurt you." Chara whispers kindly.
    "C-Chara? R-Radius why are you h-h-here? Dad's g-g-gonna kill you!" Shadow says, stuttering.
    "I'm not going back home. I'm staying with my girlfriend." Radius says.
    "What part of 'we're over' don't you get? Our relationship ended three years ago! I've moved on!" She says.
    "D-did he say g-girlfriend? Chara, are y-you not telling me something?" Hidden was standing in the doorway, looking hurt.
    "No! We aren't dating! He was my boyfriend three years ago, but I don't like him anymore!" Chara says, leaving Shadow's side and walking up to him.
    He sighs, "Okay g-good. I was s-scared..." he hugs her.
    Radius growls.
    "Radius? You still haven't gotten over her?" Shadow whispers.
    "Why did she pick you over me!? Why did she pick him over me!? He's a skeleton!" Radius says, getting angry.
    "S-something wrong with s-skeletons, buddy!?" Hidden growls, letting go of Chara.
    "Radius, it thought I told you to leave." Chara growls, crossing her arms, her patience running low.
    "Guys, please don't fight!" Shadow says, looking worried.
    "You heard her. No need for a fight." Radius smirks.
    "Fine. But Radius needs to leave." She says, sighing.
    "Radius, at least go to the guest bedroom." Shadow says, looking at her brother.
    Radius goes to the guest bedroom reluctantly. Hidden goes to the living room.
    "Hey, thanks. What happened to you?" Chara asks, sitting on the end of the bed.
    "I don't wanna talk about it... what were my wounds this time?" Shadow says, looking down.
    "What do you mean 'this time'!?" Chara sighs, "A broken rib, two missing teeth, and a ton of scrapes and bruises."
    "Why are they gone? The wounds. Why did they disappear?"
    "My mom and I used healing magic." She says.
    "You did that for me?" Shadow looks up.
    "Of course! It's not even close to what I owe you. I killed you twice..."
    Shadow sighs, "I'm sorry for my brother. He still loves you, you know."
    "That's part of the problem. I moved on. I don't want to be rude, but I moved on quickly." Chara says, "Are you ready to tell me what happened to you?"
    Shadow nods.

    A bell rings, and Shadow starts disappearing after saying goodbye to Chara.
    Shadow sighs and appears in her room back in her hometown.
    "SHADOW! WHERE ARE YOU, YOU LITTLE BRAT!?" Her father's voice thunders through the house.
    "Right here, father..." she walks out of the room.
    "YOU LEFT THE CASTLE WITHOUT PERMISSION AGAIN!" He uses magic to freeze her in place, then slam her against the wall, breaking her rib and making one of her teeth fall out, and knocking the wind out of her.
    (I FEEL SO BAD WRITING THIS RN TO BE HONEST I JUST WANNA HEAL SHADOW AND SAY, It's okay, Chara will beat him up when it's over... <(T-T<))
    He then uses a belt and hits her with it, "It's kill or be killed, haven't I told you that!? I won't tolerate any of this 'Mercy' shit!"
    "S-Stop-p p-p-please..." Shadow says softly, still not able to breathe.
    He growls, getting bored, and walks away.
    (BORED!?! LEMME AT HIM!!! HE HURT MY SMOL LITTLE SHADOW!!! RAWR THIS POTATOSAURUS IS NO LONGER KAWAII!!!! SHE MAD!!!!)
    Shadow lays there for an hour or two, regaining her breathe, and becoming a little stronger. She doesn't bother to wipe the blood that spilled out of her mouth away as she teleports to Undertale.

    Chara growls, "He's your father! Why the hell would he do that to you!?"
    "Because I spared you... in the menu... I could've killed you and demolished your soul forever, but instead I tried to help you. And I ran away." Shadow whispers, "He thinks I'm an outcast to society, but screw society! I don't need to kill anyone! Sometimes... Sometimes kindness is enough." She says, tears streaming down her face as she looks at Chara.

Anyway, I told you not to hate on Shadow, and I'll tell you not to hate on Radius, he's not all bad, he just wanted to be popular, and became a jerk, but I CREATED A LOVE TRIANGLE THAT IS MORE DANGEROUS THAN THE BERMUDA TRIANGLE!! EVERYONE RUNNNNN!!!!!!!!
