Chapter 16: Asriel's Return

I use the word "Return" in my recent titles a lot, don't I? Well, this is the last chappie for a while until I go on the chat room and copy that into the fanfic, then copy it into here. :-) OR MAYBE I CAN LEAP OFF OF THE SCRIPT AND WRITE MY OWN CHAPPIE WOO WEE WOO!!!!

(This is at the RUINS, when the vacation is over, and after Frisk's RESET... sort of...)

    Chara sighs and walks inside, keeping the bandanna on. It disappears, "Huh? Where'd it go? Wait... if Frisk RESET, then that means that everyone who died isn't dead anymore..."
    Asriel is down at the beach. He glances around before diving in the water. He surfaces and floats on his back. He sighs.
    She looks out the window, sees Asriel, and gasps, "Azzy..."
    He sits up and looks around. He looks up at the stars and says to himself, "I wonder where Chara is..."
    Chara goes outside.
    Asriel hears footsteps and looks over, "Oh hi Chara! Isn't it a beautiful night?" He looks back up at the stars.
    Tears start forming in her eyes, and she puts her hands over her mouth, "You're alive!" she hugs him.
    "Of course I am!" He hugs her back, "Why are you out late anyway?"
    "My room's up there, and I saw you, so I came outside." She pulls away and points at one of the windows near the top floor.
    Temmie sits down in the water and doesn't notice them.
    "Oh, well you should probably get back to bed." He gestures towards their house.
    Chara shrugs, "I wasn't really asleep anyways."
    Temmie dives into the water.
    Asriel looks over where the splashing noise came from, but ignores it, "Mum will wake up soon and see that you aren't there." He leads her to the house.
    "Oh, well I don't exactly share a room with mom..." She nervously laughs.
    "I know! But you know she'll wake up and check on you!" He slightly pushes her into the house.
    Chara laughs.
    Asriel puts finger to lips, "Sh... Goodnight!" He closes the door and heads back to the beach.
    She smiles and sits on her bed, soon falling asleep.
    He walks to the door and yawns, slowly walking past Toriel's bedroom. He goes into his, Chisk, Chara, and Frisk's room being careful not to wake Chara. He quickly gets dressed and hops into bed.
    Toriel is inside her room humming to herself. She shuts off the light and lays down. She hears some footsteps outside her room, and slowly sits up.
    Asriel thinks about the face Temmie gave him, and sighs. He tries to fall asleep but can't, and quietly groans.
    Chara wakes up and yawns. She looks around as she sits up and sighs.
    He turns over, "Chara? Did I wake you as I came in? Sorry..."
    "Hmm? No, I just wasn't exactly tired." She says, then mumbles, "and I had a nightmare..." she realizes there are tears in her eyes, and wipes them away.
    Chisk walks to Toriel's house, "Does this place have people!?!" He thinks the place is empty. "Hello!?!?" He walks into Chara and them's room.
    Chara looks over at the door, "Hi Chisk."
    Asriel looks over at Chisk, "Hey man!"
    "W-Who are you guys?"
    "It's me! Asriel! And that's Chara!"
    "Do you guys own this place?"
    She laughs, "No, mom does!"

    She stands up and uses magic to give Chisk his memories back, "There ya go!" She smiles, "Wait... where's Frisk?"

    "Uhhhhhhhh oh yeahhhhhhh... Hi Asriel and Chara!"
    Asriel sits up, "I still can't get Temmie off my mind... She gave me a really weird look when we were at the beach... I wonder what she thinks of me..."
    "I'm sure she likes you, who wouldn't be your friend?" She smiles and sits up on her bed. She's waiting for Frisk.
    "Ya think? But she gave me a look of... regret... Besides, we only just met! Although, she did give me another look when she visited Mum..." He sighs, "I don't know anymore!" He gives up about thinking about her, "So how did your day go Chisk?"
    "What did you say before she gave you that look?" She keeps getting distracted by... something.
    "I just sat down next to her and asked what she was doing out this late! That's all, I swear!"
    "You know the guy Burgerpants?"
    "That depressing guy that works at MTT Resort?"
    "What? He is nice. Plus he is getting some time off."
    Burgerpants was behind Chisk the whole time except outside the door.
    "I said for his time off he can hang out with me."
    Chara facepalms, "Do you guys know where Frisk is!?" She says, then whispers, "I'm getting kinda worried..."
    "No" He walks away with Burgerpants.
    She starts reaching for her sweater, "I'm gonna go find her." She jumps off of her bed.
    "Not alone, you're not! Chisk go with her!"
    Chara looks at Asriel, "I'm almost an adult, I'm fine!" She hugs him, and walks out the door quietly.
    In Head: Besides, I'll probably go with Hidden...
    "Sorry," He facepalms, "I keep forgetting!"
    She laughs, "It's alright! I forget Frisk is almost an adult all the time!" She walks out of the RUINS after putting on her sweater.
    "Be careful Chara!"
    Chara puts her hood up and her hands in her pockets and walks around, looking for Frisk. She arrives in Snowdin and sighs, "I'm probably not going to find her anyway..." A single tear falls down her cheek and freezes before it falls on the ground. She sees it frozen there. She picks it up. It turned into a jewel? She slips it into her pocket.
    Hidden walks into the lounge with Soul. Soul sits down and he slumps down next to him, "H-Hello!"
    "Hello!" He smiles and waves.
    He can't sleep because he's worried about Chara being out there all alone. He picks up his phone and calls her.
    Hidden waves back, "H-How are you?"
     Her phone rings. She answers, "Hello?"
    "I'm pretty good, how are you?"
    "Sorry, I couldn't sleep knowing you are out there all alone... Did you find her yet?" His phone dies, "DANG IT!" He covers his mouth, hoping Toriel didn't hear. He listened for a  while then slowly takes his hand away and sighs in relief.
    "Hello? Asriel?" She hangs up, "huh..." She continues looking for Frisk, but she's distracted.
    "I-I'm good!" He smiles.
    Asriel gets up and goes into the kitchen where Toriel is, "Morning Mum!"
    "Why hello my child!" She smiles. She's making Butterscotch Cinnamon Pie.
    Frisk finally stops running when she's made it halfway into the woods. She looks around and walks off happily, "I'll go back later!" She says then mumbles, "If I can find my way back..."
    Chara facepalms, "I'm too dumb for my own good! I forgot that I left Frisk with Virus!" She teleports there. She sighs and looks around and yawns, "Oh goodness... I didn't sleep..." She sees Frisk in the woods, "Frisk!" She smiles.
    She turns back, "Huh?"
    She realizes she's in the shadows, and steps out, laughing, "I was looking for you... mom's worried..."
    Asriel wonders if Chara wants to go swimming too. He picks up his phone and calls her.
    "Hold on a sec..." She answers, "Hello?"
    "Did you find her yet? I was also wondering if you guys might want to go swimming."
     Chara laughs, "Yeah, I found her, but she doesn't know that you're back! I'll ask her if she wants to go swimming... I'll call you back." She hangs up and turns back to Frisk, "Hey, wanna go swimming? A... friend was asking..."
    "... Umm... B-But what about Mr.Virus?"
    "Frisk!?" He runs out into the woods, worried, "Frisk!? Where are you!?"
    "Oh, um, he can come as well... VIRUS! We're over here!"
    Frisk looks over and sees Virus, "Mr.Virus!" She smiles and runs up to him.
    Virus growls, "YOU HAD ME WORRIED SICK!" He hugs her, "You scared me..."
    "Sorry, I had to talk to her. You wanna go swimming?"
    She texts Asriel: We have another person coming as well... maybe two extra people. I hope that's alright! 😊
    Frisk hugs him back, "W-Why would you be worried about me?" She looks back at Chara, "Swimming sounds like a great idea! What do you think Mr.Virus?"
    Asriel texts back: Ya that's fine! Meet ya at the beach!
    "I care about you! And sure!" He smiles and holds Frisk's hand.
    "Yay!" She smiles, "I need to get changed then!"
    "Okay!" She teleports to the beach with them.
    Asriel looks over at Chara, "Hey Chara! Over here!"
     "Hi Azzy!" She looks at Frisk, "Guess who's back!?"
    Frisk smiles and lets go of Virus' hand and runs to her room. She grabs her swimsuit and changes into it, and comes back outside, "Ready!"
    Chara goes inside and changes in the bathroom. She comes back outside and flips into the water.
    Asriel laughs and dives in after her.
    "Let's go!" He runs to the beach and already has his swim trunks on, "WHOO HOO!" He does a front flip into the water.
    Chara starts swimming around. After a bit, she gets out, shivering, "I gotta do something real quick..." she grabs her phone and texts Hidden,  Hey! We're swimming at the beach! Wanna join us?
    Hidden texts back almost immediately, Sure! Be there soon! He looks over at Soul, "Wanna join my friends and I at the b-beach?"
(Was he waiting for Chara to contact him? *shrugs* don't ask me, I didn't write half of what these characters say!)

    Chara just smiles and sends him an emoji; 😄
    Hidden waits for Soul's response, "D-Do you?"
    "Sure!" He smiles.
    Hidden smiles as well, "O-Ok! Let's go!" He holds his hand out to help him up.
    "T-thank you!" He walks with him.
(If Morgan_Riley_ is reading, ask Ink, DOES FACKING SOUL HAVE A CRUSH ON CHARA'S BAE OR SOMETHING!? HMM!??!?!? *RAGE*)

    "Well... I'm gonna get m-my swimsuit on!" He smiles and walks to his room.
    Chara dives underwater and watches some fish swim by.
    Hidden comes out with his swim trunks on.
    Chara comes up for air briefly and sees him. She smirks and goes back underwater.

    For some reason, Reaper and Horror decided to join them, and then everybody abruptly left, totally forgetting about Chara~Sempai sitting underwater. I'm surprised she didn't drown. Whoops... there goes the fourth wall...
    Chara gets out of the water and shivers, breathing heavily because she was underwater for a long time, "W-where'd everyone g-go?"
