Chapter 10: Shadows in Your Mind

HUE HUE AUTHOR~CHAN IS PUTTING IN ANOTHER CHARACTER THAT MAY OR MAY NOT BE EVIL HUE HUE HUE!!! (Don't think the new character is evil right away, they change as the story goes on. OH GOODNESS AUTHOR~CHAN IS SPOILING GOOD STORY AUGH!!)

    The next day while Frisk is visiting her new friend, Under-Lust!Sans, with Hidden watching over her. (By Toriel's orders)
    "You hate me, don't you..." she says it quietly, but somehow Frisk hears her.
    Frisk hears a light mumble, "Huh?" She looks at Lust and Hidden.
    "You were my second friend ever... You're like my sister... and you hate me." she laughs. Tears are streaming down her face.
    "CHARA STOP! I DON'T HATE YOU! YOU'RE MY BEST FRIEND! YOU'VE GOTTA STOP THINKING THAT!" Frisk mentally responds.
    Chara doesn't listen and disappears, "Bye Frisk..."
    Frisk slowly looks down, "..." She growls.
    Chara looks down at the knife, picks it up, and throws it at the wall, and it gets stuck.
    Frisk grumbles and looks back at Lust and Hidden, weakly smiling.
    Chara teleports to where she tracked Frisk, and her eyes are full of sadness and fire, but they're... blank? She laughs, silently crying.
    "They don't care! They left you without asking if you wanted to join them! Nobody cares, yet you still hold on, why? What's the point?"
    Chara says to herself, "Maybe you're right... they don't care..." she laughs a little louder, tears still streaming down her face, but her eyes remain emotionless.
    Frisk looks back at Chara, and grabs Lust and Hidden's hands and leads them over to her, "C-Chara?!"
    Chara sits down on the ground and pulls her knees up to her chin, rocking back and forth, "Leave me alone, you don't care..." she laughs.
    "CHARA! YES I DO!" Frisk crawls up to her.
    Chara shakes her head, "F-Frisk... the v-voices are back..."
    "Ignore them Chara!" She looks up at Lust and Hidden.
    "I c-can't they make s-so much sense..."
    "IGNORE THEM! JUST TRY TO!"
    She blocks out everything, tears streaming down her face.
    She's still rocking back and forth, though.
    "Hello Frisk." a figure that looks just like Frisk and Chara, only made of shadows grins at Frisk, "Your friend here is... unable to ignore me. However, surprisingly, you are... Why is that?"
    Frisk growls, "I don't ever like listening to the voices in my head, such as you..."
    Shadow laughs evilly, "Well, I am in control of Chara's actions, so you better be careful what you say to her!" Shadow disappears.
    Chara screams, "GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!" she slams her fist on the ground, and it shakes, she then passes out.
    Frisk kneels next to her, "Chara!" tries to pick her up.
    Hidden uses his power to pick Chara up, and looks over at Lust, "I'll be b-back soon! W-Watch Frisk!" he teleports off with Chara before Frisk could even say anything.

    Chara isn't awake, but is in a dream state?, "Hello?" she stands up and looks around.
    Shadow laughs evilly, "Hello Chara. Welcome to my realm."
    "Who the heck are you?"
    "I'm you. Well, your deepest darkest thoughts... I'm the voices inside your head. I'm the only one who understands you. Accepts you."
    "Pfft, yeah right. Frisk and Hidden understand me." she blushes.
    Shadow laughs, "Those fools? No they don't! They pity you."
    "THAT'S NOT TRUE!"
    "Oh, it's all too true, I'm afraid. I've seen into their thoughts. They think you're pathetic." Frisk and Hidden appear in the realm, well, at least holograms of them.
    They're saying mean things to Chara. Calling her bad names. Saying she's pathetic.

    Hidden sets her down on her bed, and Toriel is growling at Hidden while hovering over Chara, "S-She's gonna be o-okay Mrs. T-Toriel!"
    "OKAY?! I WANT HER TO BE PERFECTLY FINE!" She scowls at him. Fireballs are in her hands, ready to attack him.
    "C-calm down! Y-You're not making anything b-better!"
    "I guess you're right... I just don't understand, she's never done this before..." She slumps down.
    Chara's expression changes on her sleeping form, and it's of pain.

But back in Shadow's realm...

    "NO!" she shakes her head rapidly.

    "MY CHILD! SHE'S IN SOME SORT OF PAIN! WE NEED TO WAKE HER UP!" She's freaking out again.

* * *

    Shadow laughs, "That's only the half of it!" She doesn't notice Chara slowly getting onto her feet, turning into Storyshift!Chara.
    She laughs, "Not today, you pathetic human. You're nothing but a shadow in my mind."
    "W-what!? How? No! I am in control of this realm!"

* * *

    Hidden leans over Chara, "... H-How?"

* * *

    Chara laughs, "Yes, but this realm is all in my head. And you know what that means? I CONTROL IT!" she points all of her knives toward Shadow, freezing her in place, and turning her to dust.
    "NO! IT'S MY REA-" Shadow turns into dust.

* * *

    Her eyes open, and she blushes.
    Hidden's eyes widen as his face grows red and he falls backwards.
    "MY CHILD!" Toriel runs up and hugs her tightly
    Chara laughs a little bit, "Mom, I'm okay!"
    Hidden stands up and smiles. Toriel backs away and walks out of the room as he hugs her.
    "I'm gonna go make some pie!" She smiles.
    Chara hugs him back.
    Hidden pulls back, smirks, and presses his face up against her lips and kisses her.
    She blushes and kisses him back.
    Hidden gently lifts his head back, and his face is red, "S-Sorry..." He slowly backs up.
    She's really red.
    "... Uh..." He's still red.
    "I-I... Um..." Chara says.
    "OH MY GOD DID THAT REALLY JUST HAPPEN!?!?" Chara thinks, burying her face inside of her green hood.
    His face is red, "..." He smirks, "W-Was it not that good o-of a kiss?"
    "KISS?!" Toriel runs in with some pie, "WHAT?!"

Chara's thoughts: CRAP MOM  NOOOOOO!!!!
 

    "Nothing... W-We're just t-talking about my d-dreams?" In head: CRAP!
    "Hmm..." She's suspicious and narrows her eyes, "Ok..."
    Chara slowly dies inside.
