Buzz... Buzz...Buzz...Buzz...Buzz...Buzz
I woke up to a buzzing sound coming from my bed side table. There were 16 missed calls from Page, and a missed call from Daniel.
Like I'm going to call Daniel back, I very quickly texted Page before she thought I was dead.
Me: hey whats up? X
Page: ITS 9:45!
I froze before feeling another buzz. Looking back down at my phone there was another message
Page: YOU'RE GOING TO BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!! RUN!!!
I quickly got out of bed and rushed to the bathroom. I didn't have time to shower so I had to just put some deodorant on and hope for the best. I put my bra and knickers on underneath my shirt. Then I quickly slipped my skirt on with my shoes. My blazer was on the floor. It was so crumpled up. It needs and iron. ALEX YOU DON'T HAVE TIME TO THINK ABOUT THAT! GET GOING!
I had to completely skip breakfast and rush out the door. As I got outside, i realised that my textbooks were all in my bag. Meaning that my keys are upstairs in my room... The door slammed shut.
"NOOO!" I screamed banging on the front door. "ALEX YOU FUCKING IDIOT!" as I was screaming my head off, I didn't realise that my next door neighbour came out from her house and stood watching me thrown a hissy fit. Her name is Mrs Betty. I would say she is in her late 70s. She is the sweetest person ever, and since me and my Dad have moved here; she's always been so kind.
"Alex, you're such a stupid shit. Now you're going to get late for school!" I stamped my feet down the driveway to meet eyes with my next door neighbour.
"Morning Alex, are you alright?" She said with a frail voice. I was in such a rush I wanted to ignore her. But her smile was just too kind to ignore her.
"Morning Mrs Betty, I'm perfectly fine. Just um running late for school that's all" I said trying to hold back the tears. My second day and I'm late.
"Aw I see" she paused for a moment, "at least you are alright my dear. I thought someone was getting murdered" as she said this she shuffled slowly back up her freshly cleaned and well cared for drive way, and back into her house.
Alex, no time for watching an old lady walk into her house. Get fucking running!
With it being about an hour drive, I was going to have to quickly make a move. You see, I'm good at sports. I was my team caption at my old school. But when you're running in a skirt, blazer and dolly shoes. It's a tad hard to run. Oh shit I forgot to put tights or socks on. Bring on the blisters.
As I started to get tired, the weather started to change. I must have been about half way when the weather decided to start chucking it down like cats and dogs.
"For fuck sake!!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. I swear down a few of the people in the cars could hear me because I got loud beeping sounds from the cars horns as they passed me. Has nobody seen a drowned rat before? Well, now they have.
iiiiiiiiiir
