After I made my great performing exit from that pack and sprinted into the woods, I could feel my body start to get tired. Not to mention that I was wet and starting to get cold. It was almost nightfall so I started to look for a place to sleep. I found a small cave and took off my leather backpack that I had made. I took my bow and arrow from my back and went out to find a moving creature to eat.
Once I walked some distance from my cave, I stopped and listened. I heard my breathing and the wind blowing hard. I closed my eyes to concentrate more. I could hear the fall leaves slowly blowing in the wind and after a minute, I heard a creature hopping. A rabbit, I could smell it. I opened my eyes and smiled. I took out an arrow and placed it in the bow. Slowly and skillfully, I made aim and let go. Whoosh! Man, I was good.
I brought the rabbit back to my cave and made a fire. I took off my clothes so that I could hang them to dry. If you're ever in the wilderness and wet, take your clothes off and let them dry. If you don't, you could easily die from the change in temperature. Alaska's tip of the day! You're welcome.
As soon as I heard the rabbit sizzle from the fire, I took it off the fire and ate it in a matter of five minutes. I eat a lot. I obviously don't have a feast of food at my disposal. So when I have food, I eat it all.
It was finally night so I shifted into my wolf. I heard my bones cracking, and the sound to this day made me wince. It didn't hurt anymore but the actual sound of my bones moving and twisting, and expanding was just unbearable to hear. I felt fur pierce through my pores and my canines start to elongate. Once it was over, I shoved some dirt into the fire and nuzzeled deep into the cave and fell asleep. I am a rouge. All I do is run. I never stay in one place. I've been running for years. Some think it's lonely but I love it.
What I smelled in the morning woke me up abruptly.
