Jackson and I are standing by the front door with our luggage by our sides. We are hugging and saying goodbye to all of the people that we have met in this trip. I am already almost crying and I haven't even said goodbye to Caden yet. Now that I think about it, I haven't seen him yet today.

"Come in Anna. We have to go. Otherwise we are going to be late to meet the King." Jackson tells me, picking up my suitcase and walking to the car.

"I'll meet you in the car. Just give me a few minutes." I tell him over my shoulder, everyone has already parented ways and went back to what they where doing before and there is no sign of Caden anywhere. I look back over my shoulder and see Jackson talking to the driver not paying close attention to me. So I start walking towards the office that I was rejected in, the one I met his wolf in, the one we started to make up in, and this time it's the one I'll be leaving him in.

I knock on his door but he does t give me a reply. I know he is in there though. It's almost impossible to hide from your mate once you meet them. I let myself in and what I see makes my heartbreak. He has his arms in his desk and his head is in them. He is shaking slightly, letting me no he is crying but he doesn't make any noise signaling that he is.

When he hears me come in he quickly wipes his eyes and lifts his head up. "Anna." He says, slightly huskies than usual.

"Caden." I say. We stare at each other for a minute before I walk over to him and hug him. He is shocked but he doesn't show it for long before he quickly wraps his arms around me too. We stand there in one another's embrace enjoying the Sparks that are jumping between our bodies. I discreetly put a letter in his jeans pocket before I go back to hugging him. I pull back all to soon before walking towards his door again. "Goodbye Caden." I whisper quietly, and walk out the door as I hear a quite 'goodbye' be whispered from him.

We just got back to my pack after a couple hours and it's around dinner. But since I ate on the drive, I just greeted my parents before going up to my room. They didn't complain though, they understand that I just left my mate and that is always hard for anyone.

I'm laying in my bed staring up at the ceiling when I hear my oh one go off. I quickly clear my throat before answering it. "Hello?" I say.

"Anna." I hear Caden breath. "You said you would call at night, and it's already eleven so I-" I hear him rush out before I cut him off.

"It's fine Caden." I tell him. "So how is it there without me?" I question jokingly.

"Terrible. You had to leave as soon as we started getting along, and dinner was the worst I had to sit through all of it without you in your usual seat. One of my pack members tried to sit there and I literally growled before stalking out of there. It's not helping with the rouges either. You where they only one who could get them off of my mind and make me think of happier things." He tells me. I wasn't expecting that kind of answer. I was think it was going to either a simple good or bad.

"I'm sorry. Just remember it wasn't my fault. So what are you doing now?" I ask, trying to change the topic.

"Laying in bed, wondering if I'll be able to sleep without you being next door."

     "Same," I say yawning.

"You should get some sleep. But stay on the line." He adds at the end quickly probably afraid I'll hang up.

I roll my eyes before reaching for my charger plugging my phone in and placing it on my nightstand, making sure not to accidentally end the call. "Goodnight." I say hearing him mumble a response back. And knowing that he is in the phone with me I quickly fall asleep.

The Queens P.O.V. (Anna's mom)

I walk into my daughter room to turn off the light that she left on. I slightly smile at the thought of having my baby girl back at home with me, but I know it hurts her to be here, away from her mate.

I'm about to walk out of the room when I notice I hear two different sets of breathing. I walk over to where the other one is and see that it's coming from her phone. I turn it on and see that the name Caden is on the screen. I smile. He is going to be a good mate I know it. I knew his mom when I was younger and she made sure to raise him right.

"Anna?" I hear the voice, Caden, from the phone question. Probably waking up from hearing me. It wouldn't surprise me. He is probably on high alert since his mate isn't right next to him, and the best way to communicate is over the phone. Which doesn't make it easy to protect her.

"No honey, this her mother. Go back to sleep, she is safe." I tell him softly before leaving the room, not wanting to alarm him or wake Elliana.
