Rejecting The Princess

I Wouldn't Have Cared

After training is over for the day I walk up to my room to freshen up, and get ready for dinner. We skipped lunch for the training but they all stopped to have a short break and eat a snack, but I kept on training.

Once I am ready to go down to dinner and changed into skinny jeans and a plain white loose top and some converse I head out of my door. Only to run into Jackson. "Oh hey."

"Hey snowy how are you handling the whole mate thing." At the mention of a mate I freeze and put my hands into fists.

"I'm good, it was his choice and though I would have liked to give us a chance, seeing what he did when he thought I was an omega I don't think I want to even try, because mates are supposed to love each other no matter what their ranking is. I wouldn't have cared if he was an omega. I would only care about him." I say the last part quietly. Not showing any other emotion as I say this.

"I'm sorry Elliana." He whispers using my real name.

"It's fine, I'm fine." I tell him as we walk into the dining room. I sit in the same place I sat last night and wait for Caden to come in and sit.

A couple minutes later he walks in and instantly looks my way, but when we make eye contact he looks away. He takes his seat and looks at everyone. "You may eat."

Like last night everyone starts eating and making their own little conversations. Jackson and Ryan are joking around and talking about the hard life of a beta, and once again me and Caden start off eating in silence.

After a bit of the silence Caden breaks it. "Training same time tomorrow?"

"Ya," I tell him not looking to meet his eyes. Instead I focus on the delicious food in front of me.

"Are you going back any time to go and train your wolves at the Royal pack?"

"Well Jackson and I are supposed to be going to every pack in America to inform them about the new law." I reply.

"So you are leaving?" He asks me sadly. Hearing him hurt makes me look up and face him. He is staring down at his food sadly.

"We are going to call the King and Queen tonight and ask them if it is okay if we can stay longer and they just send the packs Gamma or Delta." I try and explain to him.

"So you can stay?" He says looking up at me.

"Maybe, I will meet you in your office tonight after I call them to tell you what they have decided."

"Okay." He says looking back at his dinner and we go the rest of the meal in silence.

After dinner is over me and Jackson step outside to call my parents and ask them about staying. We have to use my phone since we are to far away to use mind link. My mother answers on the third ring. "Elliana?" She questions. "Are you alright."

"I'm fine mother, was just wondering if you could send Gamma John to go to the rest of the packs and tell them about the new law?"

"Why can't you and Jackson do it anymore?"

"Because we are at the Dark Moon pack right now and they need help with their rouge problem." I tell her. Hoping she doesn't notice how I am leaving out the part about me finding my mate.

"And what else?" Ugh, she knows me to well.

"And I found my mate." I tell her and quickly move the phone away from my ear before she has the chance to make me go deaf. I can hear her squealing through phone.

"I am so happy for you Elliana. Honey Elliana found her mate!" I hear her scream to my dad.

"Mom, he rejected me." I tell her softly but she still hears me.

"Oh, honey I am so sorry. Why would he reject you?"

"It's fine, I'm fine. He rejected me because he thought that I was an Omega." I say.

"Oh, so it was just a misunderstanding. Just tell him the truth."

"But my ranking shouldn't matter to him mom, mates shouldn't care about the others ranking. So I'm not going to tell him, at least not yet."

"I understand, I have to go now. You and Jackson can stay. I love you."

"I love you too." I say before hanging up.

I turn to Jackson who is looking at me with sad eyes, because he could hear the whole conversation. "I'll go and tell Caden that we are staying."
