Holy crap it's over now. Fifty chapters in seven months. I started posting this May 11th, finished posting on December 24th. Holy crap I'm surprised I actually got this far. For a while there while writing this I had so little motivation I couldn't even get past some of these chapters. With the never ending help of yheartsoandalovei I somehow managed to power through my slums and finish this story with a wonderful cliffhanger I'm sure all of you enjoyed.
I would mainly like to thank yheartsoandalovei for being an executive (beta reader) and looking through each chapter before giving me a heavy boost of motivation by praising me and telling me I'm doing a great job. I legitimately would no have finished this without you.
I'd also like to thank Cross_Valachi for her review of WHIV on Inkitt, I swear that had me in tears, I appreciate your support so much.
EDIT: One more huge thank you to kuroshirota, who took the time to translate a few German phrases for me to make Tobias' character more accurate. Thank you so much for your help, hun!
Now, with that out of the way, I really hope you all enjoyed this wild ride and are looking forward to book two as much as I am. While we're on the subject, for those of you reading who haven't been on my profile since November, I suggest you look, because I posted a prequel to this trilogy for NaNoWrimo, and in fact finished it long before I finished Puppet. Titled "What Happens in Vienna", and based around Carter and a little bit of his story.
It's definitely a good idea to read WHIV beforehand, because there's information about Carter, and Blu, that is necessary to know for the rest of the trilogy. Also, I recently posted a behind the scenes book for the trilogy, which you can also find on my bio, it's not hard to spot. Go check that out and have fun with it I guess.
Now, considering it's Christmas Eve, I feel like it would be only right to give you a sneak peak of Book 2: Toy Soldier. If you want one that is?

EXCERPT FROM BOOK 2:
It wasn't much of a friendly dinner party, more like a glorified interrogation. They patched up what wounds I had, badly should I mention, before strapping me into a chair in front of a table that was covered in food that honestly smelt amazing, taking into consideration all I'd had to eat for the longest time was stale bread and water that tasted like rust, but my wrists were tied to the arms of my chair, so feeding myself was out of the question.
There weren't many around the table, and I was troubled when Demi didn't show up as one of the guests, but oh joy, at least Blu was there. As were Roy, Vinet, and their newest pawn Grady Cooper, who took Rupert's place after Demi slaughtered him. We were the only ones at the table, and Cooper was greatly enjoying the food on his plate as his shifty eyes moved around to look at the others sitting at the table. There were a few extra soldiers posted in every corner of the room, standing still and silent like the Queen's Guards. Unnerving, but not as unnerving as the fact I was a forced dinner guest with no way to eat.
