When I get home I rush into the kitchen running straight to my room. It's midnight and no one's awake. I sit on my bed bawling how could he do this to me and why. Wouldn't he know it'd break my heart. Could he have least broken up with me normally like "By the way we're through" or something like that. Nah, that would've hurt too. I walk into my bathroom to brush my teeth, look in the mirror and see that my nose isn't bleeding. So... I guess the whole "Punch me in the face and shoot me" thing was just a very realistic simulation.
I go to sleep and when I wake up I look on my calendar and it's Friday. One more day till the mysterious meeting. I get about 20 calls from Chris and Dawn but choose to ignore them. Today my brother, Soren has no school so I'm stuck babysitting him. The first eight hours pass in a blur of movies forts and pretend explosions mostly the explosions or movies with explosions and at 6 pm my parents get home. We have dinner and I tell my parents about how we have to be at the Head Isle Building at 12 am. This is literally our conversation.
"Great dinner mom" I say " And speaking of great dinners I have to be at the Head Isle Building at midnight tonight"
"What" my mom replied "Why didn't you tell me sooner"
"Don't worry I'll just take her" my dad pipes in.
"Thank you so much daddy"
"No problem Belle"
After dinner I excuse myself to my room. I get dressed into some black leggings, a gray tank top and a gray sweatshirt with knee high high tops. It's about 7 and I figure I'll get at least 3 hours of sleep. I fall into my bed and at 11 my dad wakes me up.
"Belle, Belle wake up it's time to go." dad says
