We walk to an empty room that has a simulation starter thing, we all grab our weapons and then the boys walk in, I run over to Justin, grab his arm and bring him over to my area.
"You're practicing with me." I say
"ok" he replies and shrugs.
Then the simulation starts. All around us blue and gray humans appear with daggers, knives and guns in their hands. My back faces Justin's as I start throwing knives at them, I also shoot them. Soon I run out of both and apparently Justin did too. They slowly surround us as I remember the knife in my boot.
I clutch Justin's hands as they approach closer.
The thoughts that run through my mind "Wow, I'm hungry", "Not close enough to stab" and "Justin better not get himself killed". Soon they're five feet away. I let go of Justin's hand and grab my extra boot-knife and stab blindly. I look up hoping not to see blood, there's none, good. I rush through the crowd of sims and when i get to the end i find the source of power and stab it. It crackles and pops and finally stops, wow I'm a poet and didn't even know it.
I rush back and see that Justin's fine. I know they were just sims but still they can make you feel pain. He pushes his unruly black hair out of his face and smiles "Wow, you're pretty good Belign"
"And you're complete rubbish" I say not being able to keep a straight face "I'm kidding, you're pretty good too."
He laughs and Amber says "Ok guys we're done"
He starts to walk out and I grab his hand to follow him.
"Hey" I say
"Hi" he replies
"So..."
"You're pretty good."
"Thanks, it happens when you spend your whole childhood being encouraged to become a warrior"
"Really?"
"No" we've reached his room "My secret is not getting hit." I follow him in his room.
"My secret is thrashing my sword blindly around me."
"My secret is look for the leader the kill them."
He leans closer to me, "Maybe this could be a secret too" he touches my face gently and kisses me softly waiting for my response. I kiss him back.
