Mortified. That's how you were feeling. Your boyfriend suddenly had amnesia...

This seemed cliché to you, but trust me, it isn't. Things were only going to end when this stage act was over...

"Ok, sir, I'll ask you some questions," The doctor said sternly as you placed on Alfred's glasses. He squinted his eyes to get a better view.

"Sure thing, doc!" Alfred smiled as the conversation between him and the doctor began.

"Ok, what is your name?"

"I think it was Papa Alfredo... Not sure though."

"Papa Alfredo," The doctor mumbled as he wrote on his clip board.

"Country name?"

"Hmm..." He thought for a moment, "Florida...?"

The doctor proceeded to write Alfred's statement.

"Country age and human age?"

"Country age is I think... 7 and human age is probably 68!"

Ok now this was just getting humorously stupid.

Arthur came to you and patted your back as you stared in shock, "You're dating a man who's 68 years old now."

You gave a glare that practically gives off a 'not helping' look.

"Do you know where you live?" He continued to question.

"Uh, Florida? Duh..?"

"Specifically, Mr... Papa Alfredo?"

"I'm pretty sure I lived in a clock tower," He grinned once again.

Once the examination with his zany answers were over, he still had to stay for a while for some wound checking.

And as the good person you are, you stayed by his side, watching at a near distance– keeping him safe.

Every sight you saw of Alfred made you want to tear up but... You had to stay strong.

You were relieved when they finally finished examining him, they gave the medicine and all that. And as a strong country, he was already able to walk.

He walked to you and Arthur– the others couldn't make it since Francis and Matthew were finishing up a 'Welcome Home' party while Matthias had Nordic meetings and Gilbert had brother matters.

"So... You guys are the dudes who's supposedly my girlfriend and brother? Mkay, but which is which? I might switch em' up." He beamed.

"Git..." Arthur muttered before explaining everything.

Your lips quivered and tears veiled your eyes. You didn't bother to answer, but you took action and ran to him to hug him.

You cried softly, resting your head on his hard chest. He slowly lifted his hand and dragged his fingers through your hair.

"H-Hey... Dudette don't cry..."

"How can I not cry...?" You whispered, "It's not easy for me to have this kind of situation..."

Both of you stood silent, the soft sobs audible.

"Why not..." Arthur spoke up.

•Alfred's POV•

(Y/n) softly sobbed on my chest. I felt the warmth I've always felt when I'm with her, I might sound cheesy a bit but don't get me wrong...

I love her too much.

The reason why that I wanted to get her back so badly is that I want to see her more. Not the everyday way because...

I'm immortal, she's mortal.

She's the first girl who ever accepted me as a country, she knows that. My plans are kind of selfish now that I think about it.

Second, the reason why I let her go is because one day she'll dissolve from this twisted an suffering world. A mortal, and even if I do start loving a different person, the pain of remembering will still be there.

I want her to live a happy and normal life. People say that we're unfair; people die unlike us. They're wrong! We suffer of living in a world we never wanted to be born in. Our mortal loved ones die and no one pities us because they're just going to be forgotten.

I remember my past history, why should I not remember (y/n)?

But after the tender moment and my thoughts racing around my head, Arthur finally spoke up.

"Why not you just hang-out together all over again?"

He suggested furthermore...

"Why don't you fall in love with each other all over again?"

To Be Continued...
