That morning I woke feeling blissful, happy. Buried in warmth I stretched and moaned, racking the tips of my fingers along the silk.
I giggled to myself, rubbing my nose along my puffed up pillow and took a long breath of the floral smells.
I don't know why, but the smile wouldn't stay off of my face. Which only made me wonder why I was already, having such a wonderful morning.
Was it because I had a great night with Matt? Or was if because I just had him back and my body knew we had him.
More now than ever I could feel out bond. Our mate bond, I never saw it before but only realised it when it was stated. I had even began to see the changes in my nod just as Matt had told me. My C's had turned into D's (which to be honest I wasn't happy about, carrying around these things strained my back and I wasn't happy.), my bodily cures were more defined, more indented, my physical fitness payed off with defined muscles. Also walking in heals did wonders for the backs of my legs.
If someone wanted to know how it felt to go through these changes all at the one time, it felt like I was going through puberty all over again, the sore backs the sore boobs. All without the spots and sometimes without mood swings.
A knock on my door dragged me from my thoughts as quickly as they started.
I squinted at the door "Yeah?" I questioned.
Once the door opened, a tiny blond girl with a hard walk came into my room, stopped at the bottom of the bed and nodded while clasping her hands in front of herself.
"Miss, I was wondering since it is 12 o'clock, noon, would you like me to make you breakfast or a lunch? There's fresh squeezed orange juice in the fridge and a selection of fruits." She stated with a straight look and a questioning attitude.
I deliberated the question, did I really want her to make me breakfast? No. "No, but thank you anyway, I'm quite capable of making my own breakfast. Um, by chance do you know where Matt is?"
The girl mulled over my question, "I do believe that he is gone, miss."
I sat upright, my brows furrowed, my heart went into a frantic beat and my chest tightened, "Gone?" I whispered more to myself than to the girl.
"Yes miss, I believe he has left you a note somewhere, but I don't know where, miss." The curtly said.
I lifted my finger to my mouth and nervously tapped. Has he left me? Where? Why? Where's the note.
I couldn't look at the girl, "Please go"
Out the corner of my eye this girls eyes dropped, and she silently raced away, her shoes no longer making a thumping sound. Once I heard the click of the door I leaped from my bed.
Spinning around the room, I skimmed over every desk too fast "The note, where's the note?" I whispered to myself.
Suddenly my eyes found that little piece of white paper, with his handwriting scrolled fast and not even in the lines.
My eyes zoomed, it read,
Emily, sorry I couldn't see you wake up this morning, I'll be back soon, promise. I needed to go feed, the staff wouldn't tell me where they keep the blood. I'll be back in a few hours.
I love you.
I puffed out my lips, pushed my hand through my bird nest hair, and as I blew out puffs of air slowly I could feel the anxiety levels go down.
"I'm too hung up on this guy, I mean really," I whispered to myself.
After my little fret, I decided to go for a long, relaxing bubble bath with vanilla bath salts. The crackling scent always relaxed me even in the deepest levels of anxiety.
