Asher's POV:
When she kissed me, I felt as the whole world stopped and we were the only things breathing, moving; living. I felt a little guilty afterwards though, as I was something conjured from Hell, literally, and she was made in the hands of God. She didn't deserve to be hurt, and that's what I was going to do to her. Not intentionally, of course.
We were still staring each other in the eye, my bright blue ones widening by the minute. I could feel my wolf growling greedily, and even with one kiss I could feel myself want her more. My cheeks began to heat, slowly getting off the bed before I took her right then and there.
"It's not even noon, but do you want me to order a pizza or something?" I questioned, looking at Kacey sprawled out on her side on the bed, my jaw clenching and unclenching; she was unaware of how sexy of a position she was in.
She nodded, yawning before sitting up. "Yeah, sure." Kacey replied, and I pushed my shaggy black hair out of my eyes. "Alright, what do you want?"
I questioned, making a mental note in my mind of what I wanted. "Pineapple?" She answered, and I chuckled and nodded, before walking out into the livingroom to ring Dominos.
After I ordered, I grumbled and searched through my wallet for the money from Las Vegas. By the time the pizza got here, Kacey and I were sprawled out on the couch watching Supernatural; we had gotten through half a season in around three hours.
I paid the guy at the door, before walking back in. "So, do you think your brothers are going to keep pestering you until you go and save your parents and sisters?" She questioned, setting the pizza down on the coffee table.
"I've no idea. Ashley is the only sister I care about; the others don't care for me at all. I was the "weak link" in the pack, and to get to the guys they always avoided being near me, even looking at me." I explained, and I saw her wince in pity.
"Don't feel sorry though, I've gotten along well without them. And now I've got you," I added, and she did that little cheeky smile that made me melt inside.
We each ate a fair share of pizza, which was a lot, before Cody got home around 3:15pm. "Where were you guys at school today? I didn't see you after second period!" He exclaimed, obvious worry showing in his eyes.
"My brothers were there and they started to get up on Kacey. I decided to take her home because it looked as she was going to have a panic attack, and I didn't want that to happen at school." I explained, and Cody looked at me with unease.
"Oh, calm down. We didn't do anything," Kacey explained, and my cheeks instantly heated up as I remembered the kiss we shared, and my thoughts afterwards.
Cody rolled his eyes, and looked at the pizza boxes on the coffee table. "Did you save any for your poor, old brother?" He whined, and Kacey and I laughed, gesturing towards the boxes.
"Yes, there's a few pieces left." She said, and Cody instantly went for the food.
After doing the homework I had missed the previous day, and the things from first period, I was laying back in my bed reading our school book; And then there were None.
Kacey and I had spent the day watching Supernatural, and we went out into the woods because Cody wanted to watch me shift. Kacey stayed inside for that.
It was now around 10pm, and I was just about to go to bed before my phone rang. An unknown number; huh.
"Hello?" I said into the small machine, my blue eyes filled with curiosity and concern. "Ash.. Asher.." I heard a weak female voice call out, and I literally jumped out of my bed.
"Ashley?! Ashley is that you?!" I yelped, and I heard a sniff on the other line before she spoke up again. "Please, help us.." She said again, and I could hear the pain in her voice. She let out a scream before the line went dead, and I was literally on the brink of tears.
Should I help my brothers with rescuing my family..? But it was just for Ashley, and my life would be put on the line for 5 members of my family I didn't even care about, just to save her.
But they were my bloodline, and it would be savage not to save them; or just go and get Ashley and not save the rest.
I fell asleep with my mind racing, and my body moving around constantly due to my state of distress.
"Asher! Asher!!!" My body shot up from the bed, breathing rapidly and heavily. Kacey was at the door, her face filled with worry and shock. "You were screaming!" She breathed, and I silently cursed myself.
"Nightmares?" She said gently, walking over and shutting the door behind her. I nodded, wiping my forehead with the back of my hand. When she sat down on my bed, I wrapped my arms around her and brought her into my chest. my mind instantly calming down.
My blue eyes scanned over her features, before I breathed out heavily. "Stay with me," I whispered in her ear, laying down all the way and wrapping my arms around her waist. She nodded sleepily, before she nuzzled her nose in the crook of my neck, my eyes closing and my lips curling up into a hint of a smile.
I knew all I needed was her, and to have her there. She calmed me down in a way, and I didn't know how but she did; and that was something I'd never seen in a person before. Kacey was one in a million, and I had no intention of letting her go.
