Asher's POV:

I woke up with a groan, my whole body aching all over. The events from the previous day flashed in my mind, shutting my eyes tightly. My brothers attacking Kacey, me going over to talk to them and ending up at her house, and her.. Flushing my blades down the toilet.

I rubbed my tired eyes, as I didn't get too much sleep the previous night due to to the three or four panic attacks I had. As well as the self harm, I did have frequent panic attacks, anxiety, and horrible nightmares where I end up screaming but never waking up unless my body starts to shift.

Speaking of shifting, I always took a run at five in the morning in order not to shift at school whenever I got mad. Before I could control my anger and my shifting, I tended to turn into the beast that was concealed inside me at times of trauma.

And since my brothers were supposedly going to be around,  I need this run more than ever. Trying not to wake up Kacey or Cody, I shook out my shaggy black hair and slipped on some sweats and that was it, since I was going to take off my clothes anyways in order to shift.

Stepping out of the guest room, my bright blue eyes glanced around for any signs of movement. Hearing something shift in Kacey's room I froze, thinking she was probably just up to get ready or something.

Trying not to make any noise, I stepped through the hall and winced every time the hall made a noise. As I was just about to make it out the door, I heard a sweet voice ringing down the hall behind me. "Asher?"

Kacey called, and my head swung around to look at her with a shy smile. "Hey," I replied, chewing on my bottom lip.

"Why are you up so early?" She questioned, and I looked at my feet before replying. "I like to go on a run early in the morning to satisfy my wolf." I replied, and she nodded understandingly.

"Can I watch?" That question took me off guard, as I watched her nevously fumble with her beautiful red curls. I stood there for a moment, before nodding.

"Yeah, I suppose. But don't get too um, freaked out please?" I replied, kind of in a pleading way. Walking over to her, I took her hand and led her outside. I got that feeling again, the feeling when we touched. It was kind of like a drug; a rush.

Leading her across the street and into the woods, I coughed nervously. "I kind of have to um, take my pants off." I mumbled, watching her eyes rake down my chest where my tattoos were laid, the multiple scars from the fights I had had with other wolves and my family.

I saw her face redden, before licking my lips. "I'll turn around." I laughed, before she giggled and nodded. I saw her cover her eyes, before I allowed the beast inside me to take over. I let out an agaonizing scream and saw Kacey turn around, not caring at the moment if she saw my manhood. I would hope she'd see it some day anyways...

Handing her my sweatpants, I saw her emerald eyes widen as the bones began to crack, my skin split and my teeth falling out one by one and being replaced by the massive canines of my wolf. I bent down, my spine cracking and bending, my arm bones splitting and re-arranging themselves to the anatomy of a wolf. My muscles ripped, the human skin falling off of my body in a bloody pile in some places, the billions of strands of black fur shooting up from the new skin, my skull being crushed and re-arranged, the whole while Kacey hearing the inhumane screams coming out of my mouth, until they were replaced with weaks whines from my wolf.

The whole shift took about five minutes, and I turned my now shorter body around to see Kacey covering her mouth, and even shaking a little.

I whined in order to say it's alright, and she seemed to ease up some. "I'll wait for you here." She announced, and I didn't think that was a good idea. I was about to protest, but she spoke again. "I wish I could run with you," She mumbled, and my bright blue eyes looked into hers with a shocked expression.

She wanted to be a wolf? What? I shook my head, grunting a little. If she really wanted to be, I'd have to explain the dangers of it later. I turned around, lifting my head and sniffing the air for any signs of my family, but there were none. I'd run a circle around Kacey so I could keep her scent in range and I could hear her if she called for help.

I took off into the woods, my new body becoming more comfortable in its skin as the muscles stretched and my body veered the narrow trees in the woods I had grown to know.

We were now at school, Kacey never mentioning to Cody that I undressed in front of her. Cody wanted to see the shift too, and I promised him he could see it sometime with a nervous laugh.

I had gotten more comfortable around Kacey, and it was just me and her that were hanging out now as Cody has his friends, and Kacey ditched her so-called-friends for me, and I was quite flattered.

We were now walking to second period when the whole hall got quiet, the girls fluffing up their hair and re-applying make-up as I saw the guys with an expression of envy.

Turning around, I saw three oh-so-familiar boys heading my way.

"Hello, Asher." Tate said, a smirk on each of their well-defined faces.

Hello! I'm sorry this one was kind of a filler, but I'm deadly tired and school is once again a wreck! It'll get heated soon, I promise. Thanks!
