Asher's POV:

With a sigh, I woke up with Kacey in my arms and music still playing in one ear of the headphones. Licking my lips, I heaved myself up into a sitting position. Shaking my shaggy black hair out of my eyes, I glanced around at the guest room, the plain features slowly but surely molding into my personality, a few posters scattered on the wall and clothes scattered on the floor.

Taking the earbud out of my ear, I pushed the hair away from my eyes once again, making a mental note that I had to get a haircut soon..

"Asher?" I heard a voice call, turning my icy gaze to the voice. "Yeah?"

I replied, as she rubbed her eyes in an effort to wake up. "What time is it?"

I glanced around to the clock on the bedside table, raising an eyebrow. "Around 2pm.. We were really sleep deprived."

I murmured, chuckling a bit as Kacey got up from the bed, wrapping her arms around my waist in a teasing hug. Clenching my jaw, I gently removed her tiny hands and placed them by her sides, mustering a lopsided smile at her pouty face.

"Sorry, love. We've got things to do, we leave tomorrow to go get my family. We lost daylight," I mentioned, chewing on my bottom lip in an effort to not go back to bed and lay with her all day.

After all, we've only known eachother personally for about a week or two. To be honest, I've only been as far as a kiss and I wasn't about to go any further than a hug at the moment.

"Fine," She said playfully, before we both made our way out of the room. Something was wrong with me, and I didn't know what.

It felt like my wolf was eating away inside me, telling me something was drastically wrong and I just couldn't figure it out. Maybe he just needed to get out and run.

"Are you alright? You look like you've experienced Paranormal Activity 4 yourself," Kacey joked, and I ran both hands through my hair.

"I don't know.. I just don't feel right. I feel restless."

I replied truthfully, just as Cody came into the livingroom where we both stood. "Okay! I've got my bag packed, when do we leave?" He said, as I just stood there for a moment with a raised eyebrow.

"Um, as soon as we're all ready I suppose. I just can't stand the thought of them being tortured in there any longer."

I mumbled, mentally making plans in my head. "It's going to take us forever to drive across the country, so maybe we can drive halfway and fly the other half?"

Kacey suggested and I frustratedly slammed a fist on the table. They both jumped, the fire evident in my piercing blue eyes.

"My brothers are supposed to come with us." I muttered, hating the fact that we didn't make any plans sooner, and we were supposed to leave in the next day.

"No, we can drive. They've got a car and so do we, so we can just make it a road trip of sorts." I murmured, a small smile creeping onto my lips.

Who said we couldn't have some fun the week we were on the road? I of course wanted to get to my family as soon as possible, but it wasn't like we were going to spend days in a certain area.

Plus, I didn't need to stress on my way there. We all didn't; if we were going to save my family, we would have to be at our best at the time.

I just wanted to enjoy myself, if that was too much to ask. Sending a quick text to Jake - knowing he'd have his phone around, - I sighed before pressing send.

"We leave at midnight." I stated, and they nodded a little unsurely. "Why midnight?"

Cody questioned, as I shook out my hair again. "So we can get somewhere decent and civilized by 2pm tomorrow; you know we have to go through Vegas and the desert area of Nevada."

I replied, and they both nodded.

"So," I started, a quick smirk appearing on my lips before I ran my tounge over them, placing my hands on Kacey's hips.

"Ready for a road trip?"

OKAY so this is sort of a filler (sorry I haven't posted in 2 weeks school has been kicking my booty alright) so it'll seriously start to get heated in the following chapters. This is the calm before the storm!

PLUS I'M SUPER EXCITED BECAUSE I HAVE NO SCHOOL AND IT'S SNOWING AND IT NEVER SNOWS WHERE RED AND I LIVE AND IT HASN'T BEEN LIKE THIS IN LIKE 30 YEARS SO THIS IS AMAZING OK.

Okay well I love you, thank you for reading! Vote and comment and the chapters will come sooner!
