Asher's POV:
To be honest, I was actually relieved we had gotten to the hotel. Don't get me wrong, I loved hanging out with Kacey in the back of the RV, but I was in desperate need of food and a shower.
"Well, what do we have here?" I heard a familiar yet deep and gruff voice speak up, my body instinctively moving in front of Kacey, seeing Cody stand beside her.
"Jason.." Tate breathed out, four more guys coming up from the alley to stand beside and behind him.
"Who's Jason..?" Kacey whispered in my ear, and I tensed at the name. "Our old pack's Beta.. We're lucky Jay isn't here -- our Alpha..."
I replied, Jason smirking as my three brothers came to stand beside me.
"I did hear rumors about the runt of the family imprinting on a human;" Jason started, and I could literally feel my wolf clawing my insides.
"But I didn't think it was actually true!" He exclaimed sarcastically, and Kacey squeezed my forearm.
"What do you want, Jason?" Jake spat, moving Josh out of the way to stand beside me.
"To make things right, of course.. You are standing on our territory after all." One of the guys standing beside the Beta replied.
"What? The hotel can't be your territory. It's a hotel." I added, and Jason smirked.
"We own all of Vegas now. Outcasts like you aren't allowed here." Another man said, looking like the oldest out of the group.
"Look, just because we aren't in the pack now, doesn't mean we aren't American citizens. What would the police think about a group of sketchy looking men kicking us out of the city, huh?" Josh spoke up, and we all nodded.
"Well," Jason replied, an evil smirk appearing on his lips. "The police don't have to find out." He stated, turning to his men and giving them a quick nod.
They started to take their shirts off, and I let out a chrous of curse words. "They're shifting!" Jake yelled, and I quickly turned to Kacey.
"Get inside the hotel! Now!" I ordered, tearing off my shirt in the process.
Cody grabbed Kacey's arm, starting to lead the way to the hotel. "No! Asher!!!" Kacey yelled as I turned my head back to her with an apologetic and scared smile.
The screams and snapping of bones from behind me gave me the cue to shift, letting my wolf take over.
Once my body took its new form, my huge black wolf stood in front of Jason and his mini army, my three brothers shaking their fur and joining me.
We all stood there for a few moments, hearing the frantic footsteps of Cody and Kacey making their way towards the hotel.
"No!" I heard Kacey yell, my head turning and facing the two as she broke free, running towards us. My icy eyes widened, letting out a yelp as if to say no! Stay away! Go back! But she kept on running, hearing Jason growl behind us.
I was then knocked to the ground, pinned by one of Jason's men, hearing Kacey let out a horrible scream. "No! Kacey!!" I yelled, only the wolves able to hear my plea.
"Get off of me!" I growled, my head not able to turn and see what was happening. I heard my brothers growl, the tearing of fur and snarling audible behind us.
Snapping my jaw, the wolf that was pinning me gave in and rolled off, but not before I gave him a bite to remember on his neck.
My brothers were keeping off Jason's men, as my icy eyes flitted around the alley to find Kacey. A bloody body was laying on the cold ground, my large body frozen in place. No. This couldn't be happening. Not her, not Kacey.
