As me and Brooklyn danced the night away, I realised just how much I needed to let loose. I had been so worried about how others would view me I forgot about the most important thing: being the person I really am. Somehow, when both me and Brooklyn danced, I had put down the walls I built and just accepted that life wasn't always about being the most authoritative or the most adequate of people.

I laughed as Brooklyn attempted to pull of a dance move, failing miserably. He raised one eyebrow at my laughter, probably confused on how I went from being harsh and sophisticated to free and lively.

"So it turns out you do smile; and it's a cute one at that." He stated, smirking in victory.

"Whatever, Beckham, your smirk isn't so bad either." I say, furrowing my eyebrows at him before turning my back towards him, throwing my arms in the air and smiling some more as my favourite song blasted out from the sound systems. It was Brooklyn's turn to laugh as I attempted to sway and clap in time to the fast-paced musical rhythm.

"Like you could do any better Beckham!" I remarked, facing him again with a smirk.

"I could actually, Kennedy." He smirked, copying my dance move but pulling it off better. Damn it!

"Aren't you exhausted?" I asked, realising just how much effort dancing took. I had good stamina sure, but it was no match for how much Brooklyn had.

"A bit." He stated, stopping the dancing, "Maybe we could go and just talk somewhere? Have something to drink?"

"Sure, how about we ditch the after party and head to a cafe I know is nearby?" I asked, hoping he wouldn't mind.

"Sounds good, I left my wallet with my Dad though."

"Well that's okay, we can both tell our parents about going out anyway then."

And we did just that, both of us spotting our parents and asking if we could ditch the party for a while. Both our parents had agreed, but reminded us both to stay safe as it was getting late. Brooklyn met with me outside, the cold breeze hitting my arms easily due to the dress I was wearing.

"You can use my blazer if you want." Brooklyn spoke, somehow knowing I was cold even though I fought it the best I could.

"Thanks, but I'll be fine. Let's just get to the cafe."

As we walked, there was little chit-chat, both of us wanting to save the conversational topics for the cafe. We turned left onto the cafe street and crossed the road to reach it.

"Here we are." I smiled, allowing Brooklyn to enter before me. I was glad that I was out of the night's harsh chilly weather. As we entered, Brooklyn decided to order the drinks while I found us some seats.

"What will you be having?" Brooklyn asked.

"A latte would be nice." Brooklyn walked towards the counter, ready to order the drinks while I found a little booth in the corner of the cafe.

As I sat down, Brooklyn was already making his way back over, giving me my drink.

"So."

"So...." I repeated, taking a sip of the latte as I was feeling a bit awkward.

"Tell me about yourself, like what's your favourite colour, or what's your favourite hobby?"

"Well, I love all colours. I don't really have a favourite colour. I love to jog and run a lot, but my favourite hobby would have to be skating. I find it relaxing and comforting to be able to skate. It's probably one of the only times I find myself comfortable not having full control over what happens." I said, chuckling at the last part. I really don't mean to be mean to my brother when he isn't fully organised, but I guess I've gone through life so far thinking that it's all about impression and making sure you have the right image, but really, life is about being who you want to be and doing what's right at the same time.

"That's cool, I love skating too! I completely agree with the feeling free argument. Sometimes all the business side to things gets in the way of just having time to have fun and relax." Brooklyn took a sip of his drink, so I decided it was time for me to ask a question.

"Where have you travelled to?" I asked, not really knowing what else to say. I took another sip of the drink in my hands.

"Oh I've been plenty of places! Spain, a few states in Australia,France, a few states here in America. Plenty." He laughed.

"Well that's cool, I've been too a few states here too, as well as Portugal, England, Egypt, Germany and a few states in Australia. I've always wanted to go to Spain though, it seems like a great place." I said, smiling at the thought of it. Just as Brooklyn was about to respond, his phone pinged, signalling a message from someone.

I drank a large portion of my latte while Brooklyn checked his message.

"We best be getting back, my Mum messaged me that your parents are ready to leave for the flight you have to catch." Brooklyn looked rather upset that we had to go, but I had no idea why. I didn't question the fact that my parents didn't text me about leaving, as I didn't have my phone on me anyway, I gave it to Mum just before we left the house in the first place. We both stayed seated with our drinks, deciding to finish them as quick as we could. I headed towards the door with Brooklyn following me. I pulled the door open, exposing myself to the much harsher icy wind.

"Oh my."

"Okay now your definitely wearing my blazer, no arguments." Brooklyn took his blazer off, handing it to me. I smile in appreciation, looking directly in his eyes.

"Thanks; oh and..." Before I could continue, a flash of light came from across the road, signalling to both of us that the media had found us. Damn it! I hate this!

"Come on Luna, let's get out of here." Brooklyn said distastefully as more flashes came from across the road. We both picked up our pace, still with the multiple blinding flashes following us as we crossed the road and headed towards the after party venue.
