-(n.) lit. "drift"; a spontaneous journey where the traveler leaves their life behind for a time to let the spirit of the landscape and architecture attract and move them.

I left all I had in hopes for a trip
with you. I dropped who I was, who
I was growing to become, to make you
love me. You made me forget, for just one
moment, what it felt like to be alone. But,
I was too naive, too young to realize you were
sick of me. You told me we would visit home,
only for a moment, then we'll be off on newer
grander adventures again. I waited months while
you took her on the same trips, only stopping
to visit me to have a "good time" before
running off with your new adventure buddy
to tell her how evil I am. You shoved me back in
my dark, cold home to enjoy her.
This was not love. This was abuse.

PoetryWhen I was going through insane writer's block, I went to a dictionary. I picked random words, and wrote a poem that represented what that word meant to me. I have kept this technique since. This is a book of my definition based poetry.
