Killer Neko (Hunter x Hunter Fanfiction)

Chapter 2

Sighing out of boredom I looked to the elevator to see three new people. There were now over 400 people here. One of these three new people looked to be around my age. Another had blonde hair and tribal clothing. The third wore a full blue suit and carried a briefcase.

I watched as Tonpa had tried to pull the same trick he tried with me. Though it didn't work with them either. I chuckled seeing how the boy around my age reacted. It would be nice if I could befriend him. My first friend.

While Tonpa was looking nervous I approached them. When Tonpa saw me he quickly made an excuse to leave. Now that was very amusing to watch him scurry away. The boy around my age and the blonde boy both seemed to notice me.

"Hello" I greeted them.

The boy around my age smiled brightly allowing me to tell that he was very innocent, "Hi!I'm Gon! This is Kurapika and Leorio." He introduced happily.

"My name is Kat. How old are you Gon?" I asked him while tilting my head beneath my hood.

"I'm 12!" he exclaimed with a huge grin.

Without using my hands I laid my hood down. That way my bluish-black hair was revealed along with my light blue eyes. Then I smiled at Gon.

"That would make us the same age the." I stated while giving Gon a closed eye smile.

"Kat-chan you're so pretty." Gon said while giving me his own closed eye smile and adding a tilt of his head.

I chuckled softly, "Thank you Gon." I said with a smile.

While I was talking to Gon I saw that Kurapika noticed the chain around my neck. He looked confused and curious. The chain around my neck resembled a choker necklace so I'm not surprised he noticed it. Plus he is taller than me making him able to see it more easily. AS long as he doesn't look to see the rest of them. Then he might start asking questions.

There was then this loud ear piercing scream. Looking towards the source I saw a man's arms turning into flowers. An interesting magic trick from the magician. He is trouble, that much was made quite obvious.

After that whole show there was the sound of an alarm going off. When the noise stopped one of the walls began to rise. On the other side was a tall lanky man that appeared to not have a mouth. Since I was observing him so closely I had not heard what he said. Though I got the gist of it when everyone started to follow him. So I did the same thing, staying next to Gon.

Gon and I were making small talk as we were running. Until I heard Leorio yelling at someone. Saying that they were cheating and this was an endurance test. So I looked to see what was going on. Gon ran ahead a little to put down Leorio's accusation so I followed suit. The kid that Leorio scolded was on a skateboard looking at us. He looked our age but had white hair that appeared to be rather fluffy.

"How old are you?" he asked Gon and me.

"12" we answere simultaneously.

This caused us to look at eachother then laugh. The other kid blinked at us.

"Guess I'll run too." he said then did a dismount trick.

Gon seemed to be rather impressed by that trick. It caused me to smile slightly. That was rather adorable of him. He must of never used a skateboard before. Well not like I ever really had the chance either, though my situation is different than his.

"By the way my name is Killua." the new kid our age told us.

"I'm Gon!" Gon exclaimed happily.

Killua's eyes then laid on me, "My names Kat" I told him.

The three of us then ran together. Killua and I were on either side of Gon as we ran. Leorio fell behind until he finally came to a stop. When Gon saw he stopped as well and stared at Leorio. Killua and I stopped with Gon.

"Just leave him Gon." Killua said without care.

Gon didn't reply and just continued to watch Leorio. I watched him curiously though I believed what Killua said. It wasn't too long later when Leorio started yelling as he quickly shot past us. This came as a bit of a surprise to me, he looked as though he had given up. Gon took his fishing pole and used it to real in Leorio's briefcase that had been left behind. That was impressive and apparently Killua thought so to.

"Can I try that later?" Killua asked Gon as we started to run once again, easily catching up with the group.

"As long as I can try your skateboard later." Gon answered with a bright smile.

Gon then turned and smiled at me, "Ne Kat-chan do you wanna try later too?" Gon asked me so as to include me in the conversation.

I smiled at him softly, "Yes I would, thanks for asking Gon." I answered.

Looking at Killua he was pouting slightly, "I can teach you to skateboard later to ya know." he said rather quietly.

I giggled and smiled at Killua, "Thanks Killua I would like that." I said.

At that moment I could have sworn that I saw Killua blush. Though I have no idea why he would. So I shrugged it off chocking it up as my imagination.

After running for awhile longer we came across some stairs. At the top of the stairs was a light revealing the outside. My eyes shined and I got excited to finally leave this dark musky tunnel.

"Hey Gon, Kat, wanna race to the exit?" Killua asked with a slight smile.

"Whoever losses buy the winner dinner?" Gon asked adding a bet into the mix.

I couldn't help my smile, "It's on." I said agreeing.

"3. 2. 1. GO!" We all said together and sped up.

We continued running together. Dodging the occasional fallen examinee. Gradually we made our way past all of the others, including Kurapika and Leorio.

"I'm surprised you both can keep up with me." Killua stated.

Gon laughed at his statement while I smirked. As we reached the exit we all leapt out into the open at the same time. Making this race a three way tie. Though Killua and Gon were arguing over who arrived first. I rolled my eyes at their behavior.

"Why don't we ask Satozo-san?" I questioned the boys.

They both looked at me blankly for a moment before Gon went up to Satozo.

"Ne Satozo-san who came first?" Gon asked.

Somehow I could just tell that he was smiling. Even without having a visible mouth. His eyes and body language told me so.

"The three of you all arived simultaneously." he told us confirming what I had thought.

I shrugged my shoulders under my cloak, "Oh well, how should we compromise?" I asked the two boys.

Gon put on a thoughtful expression before lifting his finger, indicating he had an idea. "How about I buy Kat dinner, Kat buys Killua dinner, and Killua buys me dinner!" He said happily as though that was the best idea in the world.

"That works for me. How about you Killua?" I asked turning to the boy only to see him blushing again.

"Killua?" I called trying to catch his attention since he didn't seem to hear me.

"Eh? Nani?" Killua asked.

"Well I asked what you thought of Gon's idea." I said with a sigh.

"It's fine by me." He said, so we now had a plan.
