Killer Neko (Hunter x Hunter Fanfiction)

Chapter 6

Those of us who passed the second phase were once again put inside of the blimp. Netero was talking but as always, I wasn't really paying all that much attention. Something along the lines of we can do whatever we please until we reach the area for the third phase. Gon approached me once more with Killua following right on his tail. Heh tail.

"Kat-chan do you want to explore with us?" he asked with a cute smile and hope filled eyes.

"Sure" I responded with the smallest shrug of my shoulders.

After I responded the three of us took off at a run. I faintly heard something about how we had so much energy, but I couldn't be sure about that. This time Killua had it so that he was running in between Gon and me. Not that I really blame him, I was suspicious and Gon was too innocent to notice that. Since Killua had felt that clowns' bloodlust in the first phase I knew he had to be more like me than Gon.

We had explored most of the blimp when we came across the kitchen. Both boys stomach growled. Unlike Gon, Killua had a mischievous smirk.

"Gon, Kat. Let's go in and sneak some food." Killua said.

"Okay!" Gon agreed with a bright smile.

"Alright" I agreed with a slight nod of my head.

The three of us then all snuck into the kitchen. While the two boys immediately went to steal food, I hid myself. So that when the chef was busy kicking the boys out I was throwing food into a bag. I did this quickly, getting as much food as I could. Then before the door could fully close I slipped out with my goodie bag.

"You two could have gone about that a bit differently." I told them while holding up my bag of stolen food.

Gon's eyes sparkled, "Kat-chan, how did you get so much?" he exclaimed in awe.

"Well I took it while he was distracted from kicking the two of you out." I said.

Killua looked a bit upset. Let's see. What do people give others when they are upset? Something sweet right? So, then chocolate should work. With this though in mind I pulled out a few chocolate covered strawberries. Even though they were my favorite; I held them out to Killua.

"Here Killua. You can have these." I said while still holding them out to him.

When he looked at them his eyes lit up. Next thing I know he has snatched them all out of my hands. Then he was eating them. So, he either liked strawberries or chocolate a lot. Though it could be both like with me.

"Thanks Kat." He said as he continued to eat the chocolate covered strawberries.

"No problem Killua." I said.

Then I reached into the bag once more. This time I pulled out some chicken tenders. These I gave to Gon; who exclaimed his thanks with a great amount of excitement and enthusiasm. Next, I pulled out a banana which I ate after taking off the peel.

When I finished my banana in two bites I noticed that Killua was looking away. Also, his cheeks had a light shade of pink. I tilted my head in curiosity of his behavior. Even though I was curious I pushed away my curiosity as Gon ran over to a window.

"All those lights look like little jewels!" Gon exclaimed.

So naturally Killua and I both went to see for ourselves. Gon was right though I would rather to think that they look like stars. Even though I could easily tell that the ground was much different than the sky.

"Killua, Kat. Where are your parents?" Gon inquired.

"They're alive, probably." Killua stated boredly, "I come from a family of assassins."

"Are they all assassins?" Gon asked.

"That's your first reaction?" Killua started laughing, "Yes, they are all assassins." He said with amusement.

The only real family of assassins I've heard about are the Zoldyck's So then Killua must be one of them.

"Kat-chan!" Gon whined, pulling me out of my thoughts.

"Hu?" I questioned as I looked towards Gon and Killua.

"What about your parents?" Gon asked.

"Ah well as far as I know I don't have any." I said nonchalantly.

"Who raised you then?" Killua inquired.

"A whore and her money hungry husband. Both of which are dead." I stated flatly.

"Eh?" Gon said confused.

Really I just didn't feel the need to talk about the past. It brought up too many bad memories. Things that I would rather forget ever happened.

"What exactly is a whore?" Gon asked.

He's so innocent, "A very bad woman who manipulates others. Especially men." I told Gon, didn't want to ruin him after all.

Gon looked at Killua for confirmation that what I said was true. Of course, Killua probably knew exactly what the word meant. Hopefully he wouldn't go to explain to Gon. Which he didn't seeing as he nodded his head. Though now Killua looked like he was curious. Great.

As the three of us sat together I felt a menacing presense. Apparently Killua had felt it too because he turned towards where it had come from. Then the chairman walked from the other side. He's fast, if I could use my nen I'd be faster though.

"Netero-san did you feel anything from over there?" Gon asked while pointing to the side opposite the one Netero approached.

"You're pretty fast." Killua said, so he had caught on.

"That little trick? I barely moved." Netero told us.

"You said you don't have to do anything until the final phase." Killua said while narrowing his eyes at the chairman.

"That's true. Though I was just looking for companions. Would you three like to play a game with me?" he asked.

I could feel my body trying to stiffen. That question was all too familiar to me. Though I noticed that Gon had agreed without a thought. It's not like this guy would do 'that'. If he were though I want to be able to save Gon from it.

"I'll join." I said though I didn't look happy about it.

"Guess I'll play too." Killua said after sighing in defeat.
