Acts 9
1 And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,
2 And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women,he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.
3 And as he journeyed,he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:
4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him,Saul,Saul, why persecutest thou me?
5 And he said,Who art thou,Lord? And the Lord said,I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
6 And he trembling and astonished said,Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.
Apply this to your life: A lot of you probably already know who Saul turned out to be, but for the people who don't, Saul changed his name to Paul. The Paul who became a disciple for Jesus and wrote much of the New Testament!!!
"And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,"
He persecuted and killed Christians!!! Earlier in Acts, I think that he was involved with the stoning of Stephen (I might be wrong. Let me know if that is the case. Please.)
We can apply this to our lives by remembering that EVERYONE can change. Some of the saints of the Bible were the worst sinners! God changed them. I mean, David had an affair and put the woman's husband in the line of fire, knowing he would die!
GOD CAN CHANGE EVERYONE!!!! We need to not assume, "Oh that person is too far gone. I shouldn't share the Gospel with them." That is NOT true. Everyone can be changed through Jesus!!!
Apply this to your writing: Your characters can change.... I don't know maybe a murderer could change. Maybe one of the bad guys become a good guy.
Your writing should show that Jesus can change the worst of the worst.
