The Ultimate Jesus Freak- The Persecution of the Martyrs

Yes, I got the idea for the title from Jesus Freaks by DC Talk and the Voice of the Martyrs. I would recommend it for anyone with an interest in martyrs throughout.

Matthew 5:10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

John 15:20 Remember the words I spoke to you: 'No servant is greater than his master.' If they persecuted me,they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching,they will obey yours also.

Apply this to your life: Let's face it, the worst persecution 95% of us will face in America at this point in time is bullying and hate and name calling. Yes, some of us will go to other countries and talk about Jesus, and maybe be martyred.

And, maybe, I pray it doesn't, some time in our life time Christians may be truly persecuted for following Jesus in America.

Your faith should make it clear that you would willing to die for Christ if the need ever came up. You should actually die to yourself daily. You should be picking up your cross daily and following Him.

Apply this to your writing: Characters should be willing to die for Christ and die to ourselves daily.

If you can't tell, I really have this interest in martyrs. I pray daily that I will die to myself, and if it came down to it, would I die for Him? I think about this daily.
