Catch You

I reach out
Trying to grasp your hand
As your falling down this darkness
Off the cliff of your deepest fears
I try to catch you before your lost
Nowhere near the light
I try to catch you
Help you
Be your savior,
Your guidance,
Your friend,
The one you can turn to
But I could not this time
No matter how hard I tried
It wouldn't change a thing
You couldn't see what I tried to do
You were to deep in the dark to see
The light I shined fades
So close to you
But you can't see it
The darkness fighting me back
I yell out to you
But your to far to hear
I couldn't find you in this darkness
I searched and searched
Never gave up
But you thought I did
Couldn't see what I was doing
Self-conscious about why I would do this for you
Thinking I had turned back a long time ago
Thinking I didn't care enough
That I was lying
I wasn't
I tried to catch you before you fell
I reached out as far as I could
But I didn't get to you in time
You lost yourself
As I jumped in for you
Searching for you
All cause I couldn't catch you this one time
Looking for you
I would search days,
Months,
Years,
All my life
Until I found you
And you were okay
I would die searching for you
Give my life up for you
So you could be happy
Live your life
But I couldn't because of my mistake
All cause I didn't catch you this one time
