What Just Happened? Chapter 2

Sudden wet and cold water splashed into my face, Leaving my clothes drenched.

"What the heck!" I shout. But there's no one there. My mind must be delusional....

Where the heck am I?

From the looks of it I'm in a forest but not the one I was in earlier.

"Jason!" I shout, "What's going on!"

Soft footsteps walk around me. Warm hands pounce unto my shoulder causing me to jump ten feet in the air and scream.

"Ha ha, Gotcha." chuckled Jason.

"Jerk!" I say while giving him a hard punch in the jaw. Pains shuddered through my fist. Well the punch didn't effect him at all.

"Wow," he said sarcastically while clapping his hands.

"Shut up." I muttered.

I glare at him in an evil killer kind of way,"Where am I and why did you drug me. What are you my guardian for? What makes you think you can stalk me and then kidnap me?! And how did you know what I was thinking!?" I raise an eyebrow at him, but he shows no emotion what so ever.

"Answer me!" I shout impatiently. The response I got was him walking away. What's his problem?

I quickly follow him like a lost puppy dog.

Well I wasn't getting any answers from him. Ugh. This is just lovely.

This dark forest seems to go on forever.

"My feet hurt." I complain.

"Suck it up, Sunshine." He says with a cocky voice.

That's it I've had enough.

I pop a squat near a big tree and cross my arms around my chest.

" I'm not moving till you tell me what's going on." I demand.

Jason turns around and glares at me. It felt like his eyes were piercing  into my soul....Which made me feel uncomfortable.

"Is that so." A crooked grin crawls to his face.

I open my mouth but quickly shut it, not knowing what to say.

"You know what happens to someone like you alone in a place like this?" he says gesturing to the dark forest around us,"You'd be eaten alive." He said extremely calmly which didn't help the situation at all.

"Yeah like some man eating beast is gonna pop out of the woods and eat me." I say, not believing a word he says.

A low growl boomed behind me. Oh gosh, was he serious? My knees wobble and my body shakes with fear. Heavy footsteps thumped closer and closer. I turn around cautiously. Just yards away from me huge red eyed dragon with coal black scales stares right into my eyes.

It let's out a huff sending a shudder through me. It senses my fear. All I see is a big black monster charging after me. But I'm frozen with fear.

Jason rises a hand towards the dragon. Complete concentration written on his face. It looked as if blue energy was coming out of his hand singeing the dragon. The scale monster let out a yelp and charged towards Jason. Jason rises his other hand and a fire orange light burns into the dragons skull. The loud thud of the dragons body collapsed unto the ground. Jason held his hand outward from is mouth as if he were to blow a kiss. But instead he blows a sandy looking dust. It floats in the air like dust particles. When each spec lands on the dragon fire rises, destroy in the dragon in seconds.

Well now I know I'm definitely not on earth anymore.....

I look a Jason stunned with fear in my eyes.

I manage to let out a "thanks."

He stares back at me.

"What was that light coming from your hands?" I ask.

He ignores the question. Ugh.

"Come hither child," He gestured his finger towards himself," I can't afford to fail this mission."

"I'm not a child!" I yell stubbornly, stomping my foot down.  What  mission? I thought to myself.

"Ah, You feisty." He says with amusement written all over his face.

Who does he think he is!? I'm so tempting to kick him in the throat right now.

"You are so arrogant." I spit at him.

"Well your pretty stubborn yourself." He flashed me a cocky grin.

"Can we just get where we need to go already." Trying to keep my voice calm. Holding back a few colorful words I desperately would love to shove in his face. We start walking down this forever lasting path again.

He let out a chuckle.

"What was that for?" I demand.

"You a little violent up there." He said while patting my head.

How does he know what I'm thinking!? And then it hit me.....

"Are you a mind reader or something?" I say snappy crossing my arms across my chest while raising an eyebrow.

"Well now that you ask..." his voice was calm.

My eyes widen in surprise, and my jaw drops.

"OH MY GOSH!" I scream jumping up and down. Never in my life I would have thought I'd meet a mind reader ...

"Shut up would ya? Its not a big deal gosh." He says annoyed.

This explains everything. No wonder he knew what I was thinking. Is he some kind of magical creature? 

"So your not... human?" I hesitate to ask.

"Obviously."

"Then what are you?"

"Whatever I want to be."

I give him an eye roll.  "Your a little smart Alec, you know."

"Better get used to it." he said with a wink.

I growl at him. I guess he wasn't expecting that.

"You said you'd answer any of my questions So why aren't you answering them." I growl.

He lips part but in the blink of an eye the closed shut.

"Just one question." I pleaded.

"Fine." He glared at me.

"Why am I here?"

He was hesitant but soon said, "I will let your parents answer that one."

My parents?
